The gourd is way to large for the common use of a Mate. The apparent insulating design is not so. Yet, it is insulated enough that you don't burn yourself when you pour the hot water into the gourd.The two bombillas included are small and don't match the large size of the gourd. They are stainless steel and of good design

Having a nice metal cup w/straw for my yerba mate helps learn how to brew it to my taste. Awesome build on this cup and the straw is working good as well

So, short answer: for a first affordable set, this is great.Longer answer: The quality is very good, the stainless steel is easy to clean while also being a strong material that can be used over and over again. The size is ideal and it looks really visually too. However, there is an argument that can be made about the taste being not as pure as with a more traditional matte. The positive here, however, is that it holds temperature a lot better... Just remember not to get the water too hot or you'll be waiting a while for it to cool.

The size of the product is perfect. Good quality and made to last. I washed both the cup and the straw in the dishwasher with no issues.
