The nutfix is Abus' innovative solution to preventing component theft. This stylish lock is the solution for securing bicycle components, including wheels, seat posts and saddles against would-be thieves. Its real strength lies in its design. The nut is Fitted with a mechanism that only releases the screw below when the bike is on its side. This means it is not possible to access the screw UNLESS the bike is on its side. Nutfix is available in several models, including nutfix quick release, nutfix bolt on axle nuts and nutfix seat post collars.

Wenn man etwas paranoid ist, und sein teures Fahrrad noch zusätzlich absichern will, und vermeiden will, dass wie bei mir der Sattel geklaut wird, dann kann man sich diese Sattelrohrabsicherung bestellen.Die Montage ist einfach, ich habe die Lila Variante gewählt, die Farbe ist aus eloxiertem Metall und sieht super schick aus.Es funktioniert wirklich erstaunlich: im stehen keine Chance, wenn man das Fahrrad auf die Seite legt und tippt, kann man den Stecker beziehungsweise die Kappe nach oben ziehen und dann mit einem Inbus Die Sattelstütze abschrauben oder Justieren.Mit anderen Worten: das Teil macht einem die Manipulation an der eigenen Sattelstütze natürlich schwerer. Das muss man wissen, dass ein SchnellSpanner oder eine spontane Veränderung unterwegs nicht möglich ist, man braucht immer einen Schraubenschlüssel.Und ich habe zweimal die falsche Größe bestellt. Achtet bitte exakt auf eure Sattelrohrdurchmesser!

Initially the little nut inside the red bolt wouldn't come out. It wasn't as easy as turning it as it shows in the manual it comes with. I kept shaking it and intering with it and eventually it dropped out. Then after all that I realized the clamp it comes with is too small to my Totem electric mountain bike, and the screw is too short for the larger clamp my bike came with. So now I have to find time to go to the hardware shop and find a longer screw I guess. I may as well keep looping a chain through the seat because this only stops theives from taking the post. The clamp should be made large with insertable rubber parts to fit smaller tubes the way most bike accessories do, especially for its price.
