If you're a muppet, like I am, and you shredded the little seal inside one of your couplers, I can report that in my case at least these did the trick. The seal is just friction fit, and you can pick the remains out with a dental pick, awl, or even a safety pin and this just slots right in there. Different SAE fittings are technically different sizes although they don't seem to vary by much. You may be able to make these work in a 1/4" ("R134A") fitting as well, but I wouldn't guarantee it.Obviously I'm not an HVAC professional but a pack of these was able to save my bacon without having to buy entirely new fittings, so for a couple of bucks it's probably worth a shot.

I Idon't sure that will be for R410 connector.. Most be for R-12 hose conector
