I've purchased several sets of these clamps, finding them very secure and easy to work with.Often, I'll carefully TIG weld them to projects, eliminating the need for bolts or screws, as some clearances need to be tight.The locking mechanism while not overly fancy, really does work well. I've never had one come undone.I actually made a trailer hitch plug in Skunk Tube bracket to allow me to remove and transport trapped skunks from my property without having the carry the trap in our car. LOL! These locks work really well and I don't have to worry about the little stinkers coming lose from the bracket.Yes, I would recommend these brackets.

The top on my 05 mini cooper convertible no longer works although the car itself has proven to be bulletproof. The top latches broke and the top was being pushed back by the wind at highway speeds. I installed these inside of the car to hold the top in place and problem solved. They are low profile and unintrusive and at a lot better price than the $6,000 that the dealer wanted to replace the top.

I have used these on various different projects. They work well for a swing away spare tire carrier, because the loop or bail can be adjusted for the proper tension. and the handle has a locking mechanism to keep it secured even on the roughest trails. Mine has never "unlatched" itself on my tire carrier that holds a 35X12.5 tire.

Bought these for my knotter cover on my square hay baler. The original latch was awful and broke after a year so we put these on for ease of use. They work perfect and clamp down tight.
