Self-Lock Carbide Cut-Off Insert, 0 Degree Angle, Tin Coated
- For cut-off and grooving, Single-sided notation, TiN coated for extra strength at higher speeds.
- Grade C-6 is a general-purpose grade for cutting all steel and stainless steel.

Note
After the tool cuts into the workpiece 2mm, do not let the cutter go left and right. The cutter is not designed to do that. If you really need to do so, keep the cutting depth less than 0.5mm.

If you are looking for an heavy duty parting tool, this one is sturdy. But the shape of it make this parting tool to not have the space necessary to contact the parts on the cutting area and the carbides that came with it are the worst I ever seen. They just doesn't cut.

I bought it for my mini lathe, just a hair to high so it would not work for me. A bigger lathe would probably work. I'll find something for it maybe mill it down a few thousand.

So far I've used this to make some precision washers to mount my DRO... A little bit of oil & they parted off perfectly smooth ... Slow Slow autofeed worked just fine ....

The inserts cut wonderful but the Holder seat was damaged on first use and didnt last much longer. Holder is substandard.
