Pretty easy to install. I pre-connected the wires before installation to ensure I had them correctly attached since the wire colors did not match the ones on the car. It all worked out well.

Good cost compared to dealer supplied part. The actual instal on a lacrosse is a bit of a pain but it fits perfect. The cable length is a little ridiculous for my application so I took off about 6-8 inches of cabling. Took about 45 minutes and a chunk was missing a retaining clip right behind the Buick emblem on the trunk. So 12 trim fasteners six 10mm nuts and one retaining clip later old one out new one in. Works great. Easier to find with the slight raise to it. 100% will recommend this part.

Installed this on my 2011 Buick LaCrosse. Popped the old switch out with a screwdriver. Cut and stripped the old wires with a razor blade. Used two small wire nuts (AWG 22-16 size) and electrical tape to secure the connection. Wire matching doesn't matter, its a simple switch. You could solder as well but not necessary. Popped the new switch back in the trim receptacle. Took me about 10 minutes but could do another one in about 3 min-- its that easy.

Purchased this replacement trunk release switch for my 2011 Buick Lacrosse. The original release switch still worked, but was having some type of malfunction that was causing the trunk to intermittently open on it's own, even when the switch or key FOB was not pressed. Very frustrating. The new switch seems to have corrected the problem. I just cut the wires on the old switch and soldered the wires on the new switch to the existing wires. Easy install.
