This part is too long to mate up to the intermediate cable that follows behind it. I called many parts stores, that do not have this part available. Then called the dealer, and the only way this (correct length) cable is available is through GM, and it includes the parking brake pedal assembly, for $122. After buying this cable, and unsuccessfully trying to find a shorter intermediate cable to make it all work, I am now faced with buying the brake pedal assembly from the dealer, and throwing this part (and my $$) away.

Rubber seal for cab was press in the wrong spot . Had to take old seal from old cable and use on new cable to seal cab . For being such a high price I would expect some QC .

Front parking brake cable for 2004 Silverado, should fit all variations, the intermediate cable is the one that varies. Good quality
