Your cart is empty.The crossbow string is made of polyester and also comes with 2 end caps (tips) for the bow. To extend the life of your string, first, never "dry fire" your crossbow, and second, please wax the string regularly. Always have an arrow loaded when you shoot. Repeated dry firing will quickly wear out your crossbow string. For the proper maintenance of your crossbow, just apply some bow string wax to the exposed string, not to the serving, on the crossbow and take your thumb and index finger and work the wax into string. As you work the wax in, you’ll notice it getting softer as the heat from your hand causes it to melt. Never use a frayed string as it may break when you are cocking your bow. Damage to the crossbow and/or injury to the user could occur. If string becomes frayed, immediately replace with a new string. Even under proper use, your crossbow string will eventually need replacing. Keep spares available for replacement. Replace a worn out crossbow string with this performance string. Keep your crossbow in proper working order for maximum performance and safe operation .It is smart to keep a spare string. Retain its proper specification for performance and safety.

Would be 5 stars but the string I got broke after 2 uses, no dry firing either. I waxed string and let it sit for while and pulled on it makes sure all area hot wax to it and after hooking it up it was tight fits well plastic pieces for ends slip right off so just use tape under it to get them to stay, but after 2 very nice shots the string broke. Other then that every thing else is nicely built and good value. Emailed seller about bow string to see what can be worked out, but this is a good buy of yu get a good bow string.

First off let me start by saying that I have purchased many items from Amazon over the years. Depending on what I'm buying, I kind of know what to expect. Having said that, I purchased this item as a spare string for my crossbow. The price was $6.25. To me, that is not a lot of money, to others it might be. This review is more about principle than price. When you make a purchase, regardless of how much you paid for it, right out of the box you expect it to function. Let me get to the problem. I installed this string on my crossbow with no issues. The problem is after installing I observed that the string was coming unraveled from one of the loop ends. Now mind you, I have not fired a single bolt through my crossbow with this string installed. I don't know how long this string will last without some type of effort put forth on my part to keep the string from unraveling. I may try to apply some heat to the end of the thread to melt it to stop the unraveling. That will probably work but I don't know for how long. This is a rather long review for $6.25 but it serves two purposes. 1) to vent and show irritation and 2) to forewarn. I would send it back but I honestly don't think it's worth the effort. I posted a couple of pictures. Good luck with future purchases and, "caveat emptor."

the string is fine, works great and the shafts of the bolts are nice, they have a good weight to them. however the plastic used on the fletching portion of the bolts feels cheap and is fairly brittle, if the bolt gets buried into the target enough to reach the fletch the fletching will break if it is secured properly; several of them that were not glued in well simply fell off. I am torn between trying to re-fletch them because the shaft is solid, or getting new ones. if you just need a replacement string and some disposable bolts then these may be great for you but I will definitely not be ordering these bolts again.
