Once installed, feels sturdy. I just finished so I am posting photos that will help you because the instructions are not that good. I have a 2019 Honda CRF 250L. The "instructions" are a photo on the back of the box. I looked up the mounting instructions online and it is also one page (see one of my photos). The stock handlebars are 7/8" which are 22mm and made of steel. I say that because it matters if you look at the instructions. Start with the clutch side because it's a bit easier. When you start, you have to cut off one zip tie holding the cables. Then position the black clips (see photos) on the curved edge of the lower part of the handlebar. You have to use the silver spacers. The bigger ones fit the stock handlebars. Once screwed on, slice off the very tip of the handlebar grip with a sharp knife. (One the throttle side, you will do that and then you will cut off the tip of the white plastic inside with a hacksaw. DO NOT TRY TO DRILL through that white plastic. It will shatter/break and you will not have a clean hole. Put the screws in the way I have laid them out in the photos. Then position and tighten. Seems solid, but this version that I bought is pretty small so probably will not provide much wind protection.

these handguards will bend and warp on a fall, messing up the travel on your front brake and clutch levers. I used them for a total of four times (dropped the bike maybe 5 times) before they were warped enough to start interfering with the control levers. The hard plastic that covers the handguards is really sturdy but once the aluminum warps the plastic becomes a problem.

I have used these before on another bike so I knew what to expect. They are great for fall downs or accidents. Nothing gets broken and you can pick up thedirt bike and continue on.As for installation? You will need to get creative. You will also have to cut off the plasticon the throttle end caps. That stinks, but if you use an fine blade and make it look cleanit will keep the bike looking good. The orange definitely matches the KTM color. It lookslike it belonged on the bike. I bought these for both KTM 250 and 350 EXC-F bikes.

These things are durable and easy to install. The whole job took about 40 minutes. I have had a few spills since purchasing them and I am satisfied with installing them. It will take some positioning adjustments to make them fit just right but once you get it dialed in they are perfect. I would definitely buy them again.

This kit was great, I mounted to a stock 2013 CRF 250L. Comes with different bar spacers for mounting on stock and aftermarket bars. After alittle shuffling of the control cables installations was some what easy. I use it mostly for road but great protection for on and off. No spills yet, but great for roost, road rocks, branches, and wind. Aluminum bar molded inside keeps me feeling good when ridding, not flimsy or plasticy like others.NOTE: You will have to cut the ends of your grips off to mount the end expansion bolts in your bars. In addition you will need to drill out the end of your throttle tube. When tightening you must be carful as over doing it will cause your throttle to hang hip and stick. If you are not the greatest with tools or squeamish about cutting and drilling new stuff call your buddy over to help and about an hour later your done,

these guys are pretty tough. the plastic is tough and the metal is hella strong. installation is quick, but i did run into some clearance issues on my xr650l. had to grind down the mounting bracket, but once i did go down it still slipped and the bracket dented my tank. i thought i had the clearance, but maybe the flex in the handlebars, or who knows what....anyway, the brackets could be a different shape, or come with a 2nd longer bracket set up....either way you're gonna have to bend the bar, or grind some of the mounting bracket or a combination to get it to fix your bike.the price is right.
