The grinder is easy to use and doesn't jam up, but the adjustment knob doesn't really change how fine the grind is. This would still be ok if you want a slightly coarse grind for texture on your food.

We got this to replace a previous pepper mill that suddenly stopped working. This one works just fine so far, and has a nice look to it. I like that it's made of a durable acrylic instead of something more fragile like glass. Definitely happy with this one!

The Ununpentium Acrylic Salt and Pepper Grinder looks nice. Transparency makes it easy to see the content level.Unassembling to refill is pretty easy. The coarseness is adjusted by turning the screw-on knob on top (clockwise for fine).Works fine, hope this will last.

I really like that I can see at a glance how full (or empty) this mill is.I use it for a custom Citrus/Pepper Flake/Course Salt mix. This mill is able to handle the variety of granule sizes in my mix (the dried citrus peel, the pepper flakes and coarse sea salt are all different sizes). However, I have a couple of minor issues with this particular mill, mostly related to how it is filled.Because it is filled from the top:1 - the upper turning "knob" portion of the mill is completely unusable - it cannot be filled to the brim. Ever.2 - While the coarseness is adjustable, it is adjusted via the knurled screw that holds the top on. Every time it is opened (to fill it), the coarseness has to be reset (which can only be done via trial and error). Because the capacity of the 5.5" mill is not that great (because you can't fill it up to the very top), it will be opened more often than I'd like.I like this mill, but it would be better if it could somehow be filled from the bottom. This might be a good size mill for seldom used spices, though. For my purposes I should have gotten the larger size.
