Easy for kids to learn the very basics of sewing and create something cute. My grandsons (7 & 10) are learning to sew and this was a good starting point. The stick on elements are very small and difficult to get the backing off of but we managed to.

We purchased these little kits for our brownie troop as a part of our introduction to sewing lessons. The girls, who were all 7 or 8 at the time, loved the colors and the animals. Each kit was packed separately which made it super easy to distribute. They were the perfect size for them to hold and learn how to thread a needle.

Did this sewing activity with 6 year old gals and it was fun. They caught on very quickly and were able to get great results in finished project with some help. Had fun choosing the different animals to make. Each kit had everything included to make the puffy and even had little chains to attach them to backpacks etc. needles were plastic so were not harmful. Would definitely purchase again! Kids loved it.

The little cut outs are not stickers you must glue them there are better kits, this is being returned because it is not easy for kids

This is a great kit for kids who are just beginning to sew! I got these for my 5-year-old to learn basic sewing. He made the animals for Christmas gifts and they turned out really cute. Everything you need is included (including fiberfill stuffing), and they're individually packaged, so you could give away the kits one at a time if you wanted to. I attached a picture of the frog my son made. He kind of went his own way with the design but it still turned out really cute, I think!

This is a great idea, and the various animals are acceptable. The animals are wrapped in their own separate cellophane kit, and then stored together in a thicker plastic zippered storage pouch, making it giftable. Each animal kit comes with a fabric (felt like) animal with pre-made holes, enough thread to sew the animal, a wad of batting to stuff the animal, a plastic needle, felt accessories (eyes, nose, ears, etc.), and a metal ball key chain string.The plastic needle is sturdy and is easy to poke through the holes. The yarn is not good quality and is very difficult to thread through the needle without it shredding (separating). The batting has a rough feel, and after stuffing it, the animal is difficult for a beginner to finish sewing while trying to hold the batting inside. The accessories are partially cut out of a larger piece of felt and have a peel and stick back, but it doesn't "pop out" so you must finish cutting them to get them out and placed on the animal. The instructions are highly lacking, with mostly minimal pictures. The zipper pouch is sturdy and works great for toting the kits around.I would like to see the above-mentioned areas improved before I could recommend this sewing kit.

I bought these for a first sewing project for my 4 1/2 year old twins (boy and girl). Prior to this, I had them practicing on the lace boards, so both had a good concept of whip stitching and straight stitching. They LOVED these little pillows. I had to work with them to get them started and finish. But they could do the work and add the face stickers. Each little pillow took them 30-45 minutes to complete. I loved the plastic needles and prepunched holes. The set included 3 whip stitched pillows and 3 straight stitched pillows. It was a perfect progression from the lace boards as it added a skill for threading a needle, using a needle, stuffing, and having a finished product they were so proud of. I highly recommend.
