Step One

This stuff definitely cleans your floor mats. A little goes a long ways with both of these. The protectant leaves rubber mats dark looking, non grease and smelling clean. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure I needed this. I cleaned and protected four floor mats and a trunk liner with these products. Somehow I managed to use half of the bottle of cleaner, but only about an inch of the protectant. The cleaner worked, but I'm not sure it's any better than many other cleaners. The mats looked pretty good after that. Then I applied the protectant. I thought the trunk liner would be the hardest, so I did that first. It went pretty well, and now it's the best looking of all the pieces. My Subaru Outback Wilderness floor mats were another story. Getting the excess product out of all of the little crevices in those mats was not fun, and I was not entirely successful. Plus, I didn't like the smell at all. I left them sitting out in the yard to cure for about six hours and they still smelled. I don't think that I'll use the protectant again. I don't know if I'll use any other protectant either simply because they don't dry or evaporate, and those little crevices will bedevil me no matter what I use. So, pretty pricey for the cleaner if it only lasts two or three uses, and the protectant is not something I'll use again.

Overall, I will say that this cleaner/protectant combo got the job done, but I am not sure that it really worked any better than general purpose auto cleaners that I have used on my car mats in the past. To put it to as difficult a test as I could come up with, I used it to clean a rubber boot tray we keep in our mudroom. Following the directions closely, it did do a good job cleaning and it did leave the mat with a nice black sheen. However, I found that just using a tire brush (per the instructions), I was unable to fully remove all of the stains and I needed to use a household nylon scrub brush on a few spots (this was an extreme test though). After rinsing and a thoroughly drying, I applied the protectant, again following the directions. It also leave a nice sheen, but I see little difference between the cleaner and the protectant. Perhaps the protectant will help it to hold its sheen a bit longer though (time will tell).In the past, I have simply used general purpose auto detail cleaners on my rubber mats. I would say that both the effort required and the results achieved were comparable to what this product delivers. So, while I can honestly say that this product does a good job at cleaning floor mats, I am not certain that it is really necessary.

I use this product in my service van with vinyl floors. It works amazing on my armor light flooring in my Jeep Wrangler. After washing the mud from the floorboards, I spray this on the mat and it looks brand new.

This stuff is way better than anything else I’ve used and if you follow directions, it is incredibly good beautiful nice factory sheen. The only way it would be slippery is if you’re just too quick to wanna just slap it in the vehicle and go for a drive if that’s the case then yeah don’t use it. Find something that is really dull immediately and doesn’t give much protection or shine.

Used a mat cleaner first and then the protectant once dry. Mats came out looking brand new. They do dry slightly slippery, however it is slight and did not affect use. The protection seems to hold up to usage fairly well also.
