Perfect for what I needed. I take a lot of hand-written notes and I use it to hold my spirals when I get a chance to type them up. My neck is thankful I found this.

It's a little rickety, but if you're just going to use it to hold something for a reference, it works great.

OMG dont buy it! Biggest waste of money. Its flimsy by itself. The stand in the back to support it and grooves are too shallow and barely support each other and have no locking or click in secure mechanism. Duck tape and toothpicks would be an improvement. I got a cook book on it precariously and then good luck trying to get the metal rod page holder thing to move. Its is over painted and coated at first I initially thought they welded it flat. You have to pull so hard to get those things close to holding the page open even at that the length of the page holder is so shallow to the design I could only get to hold a book open if its conveniently exactly half open. You get what you pay for BEWARE!!

This is a 3.5 to 4 star product. So let's get to it.PROS:Size - This is a very compact item. This is easily packed for library runs.Sturdy - It can hold my Blacks law dictionary with no problem.Color options - the black blends in nicely.Cost - I've purchased 5 of these. The price point is great. I have one in my kitchen (cookbooks), one in my back pack, one in my office and bedroom. Husband took one 🤣The REST:Slippery - They slide....a LOT. The metal has absolutely no grip resulting in it and your book moving whenever you turn the page.Solution: I purchased double sided felt (very affordable) and no more movement.Small groves - there are 3 positions that your book can sit. The position closest to you that holds the boom at a less inclined angle tends to slip out more than the other 2 positions.My sweet spot is the middle Grove.Pics will help your understanding a bit more.

Very useful. Inexpensive. I like that it can be flattened to be put away. The stand looks and feels steady, but it does not look strong/sturdy. I have used it for a medium size hard cover cookbook. It worked fine, but I would not use it for heavy books.
