Someone backed into my Wrangler and it cracked the OEM spare tire bracket. This one seems more secure and its adjustable which is nice. If you want to keep your 3rd brake light you will need to make a bracket of some sort but as far as holding the spare, it does exactly what it should do.

Fit exactly how it was supposed to. does everything it claims.I personally got this as a replacement for the OEM one, since it eventually broke. I only have a 265/70R17 on the back, and it still fits nicely. Definitely looks capable of a 40 inch tire as well. Well worth it investment for easy install, lightness, and durability.

Installed this to hold a 35” tire on my JKU. The mount to the tailgate is secure but the tire mount part is to flimsy. Tried the longer rubber stops to help with the tire shake but no luck.

Solves the issue of getting a 35" tire on the tailgate with a stock bumper. Still concerned with the weight of the setup though. Great relocation bracket with stock or aftermarket bumper with a 35" spare.
