This would be great for a guitar that is literally a wall hanger. It looks good and is solid. I’m not worried about it not supporting the instrument at all. What concerns me is getting the guitar in and out of the hanger. There are too many exposed areas of brass to bang into. The pads are there but do not cover enough of the horns and it isn’t hard to hit the bare metal when placing or removing a guitar. The pick shaped pad does help to protect the back of the neck where it may rest on the animal’s forehead but it really detracts from the hanger (and no joke it looks pretty cool so I would rather not cover it up with the pad) when the guitar isn’t in place.IF you have a show piece only guitar that just literally hangs on the wall, can set it in once, and leave it in place without risking the in and out of a played guitar, this is a unique, and attractive, way to hang it. For this purpose I would give it a 4.5 star rating.But if you have a guitar that you will be using regularly, I would recommend you find something with far less potential to damage your instrument. For this purpose I would give it a 1 star rating.Average them out to 3 stars.

These are super great quality, heavy iron, however they only shipped a set of screws even though this was a 2 pack and also they can scratch your guitar so you have to put something on the head of the bull if your guitar touches it.

Update!.. The company felt bad about me having to replace the missing screws. Cuz I only got screws for one mount instead if 2. They refunded me $5Truly a great gesture. Was appreciated. Set of 2 bulls with only 1 set of mounting screws. Had to go spend money on the appropriate mounting screws. Wasn't happy with the extra expense even if it wasn't alot extra. Was an inconvenience. Otherwise I love them. They hold my electric bass and acoustic guitar very well.

I was surprised at the weight and hardiness of this mount. My grand child loved it for hanging his guitar and the bull served his masculinity well. fairly priced. I would however go to the hardware store and get better wall mounts if you are putting it into sheetrock. Other wise its nice.
