My son had a lot of fun opening these. Only issue was that the cuts weren't great so when he'd try to open one, the whole cover tore.

My son loves doing Advent Calendars and collecting gems. He's very happy and excited to see what he gets. This is pretty good for the price. The only negative, so far, is that there is some misspelling of words in the gem descriptions. But, that's not a big deal.

As a kids advent, this is an ok gift. The stones aren’t as quality as others I’ve reviewed, and the wire pendant is cheaper-feeling. The description of the stones is a bit dubious, but if you want to start a stone collection, it’s not too bad. Just look up the stones yourself, rather than relying on the description on the box. I think kids would enjoy the colorful mix of stones and be happy with this calendar. Or, punch them out and give them as a separate gift (the punch-outs are a bit easily torn).
