About this item

  • 1, Onboard ADXL345 digital output (support I2C/SPI), low power consumption, compact accelerometer
  • 2, Support 5V/3.3V voltage input, onboard RT9161 power chip, lower voltage drop compared with chip 1117, faster load response speed, very suitable for high-noise power supply environment
  • 3, The commonly used pins have been drawn out, and it is soldered with standard 2.54mm pin header, which is convenient for dot matrix boards
  • 4, Prepared 2 cables for this module, Female to Female cable is for ADXL345 with MCU which is onboard male pin header like Raspberry Pi board, while Female to Male cable is for ADXL345 with MCU which is onboard female header such as UNOR3board
  • 5, What you will get is 2pcs ADXL345 Accelerometer module + 1pc 10Pin 2.54mm Female to Female Dupont Cable 20cm + 1pc 10Pin 2.54mm Female to Male Dupont Cable 20cm

Description:
The ADXL345 is low power, high resolution 13bit, 3-axis accelerometer Digital output, accessible through both SPI (3 or 4-wire) or I2C interface (formatted as 16-bit twos complement).
ADXL345 will measure static acceleration and tilt as well as High G dynamic acceleration (motion or shock)
13 Bit resolution allows for inclination change measurements
ADXL345 will detect:
motion or lack of motion
acceleration on any axis exceeding user-defined level
acceleration threshold sensing
acceleration up to ±16 g
Single or Double tap sensing (1 or 2 mouse clicks)
Free-fall sensing
motion mappable to one or two interrupt outputs
Specifications:
2.0-3.6VDC Supply Voltage
0.1uA @ 2.5V, 40uA in normal mode
SPI / I2C interfaces

At the time of this review, the product description is not for the product being sold. I purchased this solely because it had the fastest delivery time and I trusted that the product is at least what is pictured. I am happy to say, the product picture is accurate and you are indeed getting two ADXL345 accelerometers with wiring. It's nice the pinouts are already presoldered saving a lot of time.As another reviewer has mentioned if you are using this for 3D printing purposes, it is NOT Klipper compatible unless you remove the R4 resistor. Unfortunately removal of a resistor that is soldered on does require you to have a soldering iron or alternative method to loosen the solder mounting the resistor to the board. Once the R4 resistor is removed, it works the same as any other ADXL345 board. The actual product itself is a 5/5 and the fact that it is not compatible for my purposes isn't the fault of the product itself. The blame solely lies in the inaccurate product description that is clearly not for this product. If the description were updated this would be a 5/5.

I used the accelerometer and a Raspberry Pi Pico w to get the measurements for input shaping functions in Klipper. I actually got 2 of these and I have to confirm that both work great and the results from each one match the other, so I am pretty sure they are accurate as well. Will buy here again.

...you do have to figure out the pin mapping and remove the R4 pull-down resistor though (not a big deal). Here's a pin mapping example for an SKR MINI E3 V3.0:# ADXL345 pin mapping to EX1 on SKR Mini E3 V3.0# EX1 pin >> ADXL345 pin (only one ADXL is supported)# EX1 +5V >> ADXL 5V# EX1 GND >> ADXL GND Klipper cfg:# EX1 PB5 >> ADXL CS cs_pin# EX1 PB9 >> ADXL SCL sclk_pin# EX1 PD6 >> ADXL SDA mosi_pin# EX1 PB8 >> ADXL SDO miso_pin...printer.cfg for a 400x400 bed..[adxl345]cs_pin: PB5spi_software_sclk_pin: PB9spi_software_mosi_pin: PD6spi_software_miso_pin: PB8[resonance_tester]accel_chip: adxl345accel_per_hz: 70probe_points: 200,200,10

It is not very accurate, but good enough for my purpose.

Following the same pinouts that the Klipper documentation suggests this board does not function. It is throwing an error for faulty wiring or faulty board. I have tried directly soldered to the Pi and still it gives an issue.
