Your cart is empty.AEM Air Intake Systems are designed to produce massive horsepower and torque gains as well as better engine sound when used as a replacement for the factory airbox and air filter. AEM intake systems are designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to fit specific cars and trucks. These air intakes usually include an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration, and performance while allowing easy oil-free cleaning. Most AEM intake systems use mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubes, powder coated heat shields, and high quality hardware designed to reduce restriction and reduce intake temperature. The design and components of each intake system vary so consult the installation instructions for more information on the contents of each part number. AEM manufactures a variety of intake kit styles including short ram intakes, cold air intakes, dual-chamber intakes, Brute Force intakes for trucks and SUV's, and Brute Force HD intakes for diesel applications.

I purchased this intake for an 02 Mazda Protege5. Yes, I could have bought an evilbay knock off but I know AEM has been around for a few years. Out of the box everything looked good...Until I realized there was an adapter missing. I had already taken out the stock parts and racing the sun, so I cannablized part of my stock boot and got it together. Overall, nice kit. Instructions are a waste of time. Not hard to figure out how it goes though. I gave it 3 stars because of the missing part and having to piece it together with the stock boot. Power wise? Eh.. Its louder. Is it faster? Will take a few days for the computer to reset before any gains are going to be noticeable. Most likely not. But it looks better.

4 Star = Bit of a snug fit but works well. Not much power difference as this is a replacement for an old cold air intake.-1 = May cause damage to engine during "Heavy rain for long periods of time." (AEM customer service)Bonus = Comes with Stickers and a plate cover. :D

I purchased this product based on many reviews that I read. They where correct you can notice a difference right away.It changed the performance of my car. it was very easy to install too. I did have to modify it a bit after I seen the install and where they had the filter located. I live in Texas and it floods a lot down here. So I had to make some changes to bring the filter element up to the top of the engine compartment. AEM had it located way down at the bottom where the plastics were. This is better for grabbing cooler air. But hydra locking my engine would be worse. so it is now in a safer place. Over all this is a great product.And I got it fast and in brand new condition. 5 stars all the way.
