I had a way more complicated Aerial Silk and it was good but I wanted to “graduate” away from the handles and such. This nylon “silk” is good quality material. It’s a little thinner than my other; it folds away to nothing. It works great for ALL of the moves. I use a book from amazon to help with some neurological issues that I have. Aerial Silk is fun for just about everyone and can help people ease into a stretching routine. I used my existing hardware but I was glad to have another set because this silk is so easy to relocate. I’m going to put the hardware that came with this silk down by the lake so I can enjoy the view. This silk is priced better than most.

This silk aerial set does not disappoint. There is everything you need included. It has been a perfect set up in my basement. The silks included are super soft, washable and the length needed. As a yoga instructor, this set has given me a whole new aspect to my workout. There is something freeing about being able to hang with the confidence of sturdy mounts. The price is affordable and if you can get over the fear of being upside down, you will have the experience of a lifetime. Your body will thank you!

Now, I'm certainly no expert & this is my first setup ever. I have always been fascinated by aerialists and pure talent. I don't expect to become a professional or even great but I do like the idea of using this as a form of exercise & hopefully develop a new hobby. So after receiving aI wasn't sure exactly what I was looking at. I have now spent hours online researching and watching videos... What I do know is this will be a slow process. I also learned what comes with the set is more everything you need to rig the silk up as a hammock rather than a single rigging. When I say single rigging, I mean it is connected to your ceiling/ beam, etc., by one point with 2 legs (poles) hanging down with open ends. Use pics for reference as that's how I wanted to set mine up. The hammock rigging is connected at the top by the 2 ends of the silk and leaves like a seat at the bottom with the center of the silk. This is the way you'll be able to rig yours right out of the box. It comes with 2 anchor plates, 2 carabiners, 2 strap thingies (I forgot the name of them), and then your silk. To rig yours up in the single fashion, you'd need to buy a couple of things. 1 being a swivel that'll hold a lot of weight and also a rescue 8. You can find tons of info online to assist you like I used for help. Now, I don't have a ton of room, and thankfully, bc the silk isn't super long, it's fine for my space. I don't have anything to compare the fabric to but it states to be made of the same material most silks are made of. Pretty strong and soft. Not much stretch. I suggest you do a ton of research and have someone who knows what they are doing install yours correctly. It wasn't very difficult to install, but I had help. That way you don't end up on your head and hurt. I think you should always try new things and for the price, it's worth a new experience. I mainly got these to be able to decompress my spine and stretch before and after workouts. So far, I've been following conditioning videos online as my workout & trust me, you will feel the burn. The upper body and core will be on fire.

Disclaimer: We did not use any of the included hardware with the exception of the carabiners and the extension strap, so this is a review of only the fabric and those 3 pieces of hardware. I can't rate the screws or the brackets, as we were replacing an existing child's sensory swing for our now tween daughter who has outgrown the baby version. For that purpose, this swing, particularly at the $27 price point the pink color was at when we ordered it over Black Friday week, was a perfect fit. Attaching this to our existing hardware was easy, and it was exactly what I was hoping for - a simple equivalent to the child's sensory swing that was just adult sized, as opposed to the highly complex yoga swings you see with foot holds and all that extra jazz. It's still going to be used as a sensory swing, we just needed one that fit a 5 foot tall child.I appreciated that the ends of the fabric come bundled and zip-tied, so it was easy to identify which was the length and which was the width, and much easier to hang up than if they'd been loose. The sheer amount of fabric does make the knots you need to tie for hanging very large, however, and you lose a lot more of the overall length in those knots than I'd originally factored for. When I'd first unfolded the fabric and held it up, I thought it would need to be almost doubled to not drag the ground, but by the time we got the carabiners knotted in and went to hang it, we ended up needing the extension cord after all.Once we got it up, it seems to be everything I was hoping for. The fabric is soft and silky, perfect for a sensory haven, and sturdy enough to hold up to anything she's likely to throw at it. My daughter is thrilled to finally be able to fit her entire body inside the swing lying down, no longer having her legs dragging the ground, and it's already seen more use in the last 3 days than her old one had seen in the last year. She's asking me to teach her how to use it to do yoga, so I'll have to look into a video or a class for her, now that she has the silks. I've tried it a few times myself, and I wouldn't be surprised if she occasionally ends up sleeping in it. It's plenty comfortable enough that if I was still single I'd consider using one that way instead of taking up a ton of room in a small apartment for a bed.Overall, we couldn't be happier with it. 5 stars.
