If you are running a 6637 style bhaf on your truck, you should do yourself a favor and switch to this filter. On the ol' 7.3 with sxe366 and 238/80 sticks she used to have a consistent very slight tailpipe haze visible at night in tailgater's headlight beam and soot buildup on the bumper, doesn't happen anymore with this filter. Tailpipe spews clean as a whistle and throttle response is much better.

Obviously a great filter, massive CFM. Oil kit is readily available. But the inside of the filter inlet is so slippery I had to do some screwing around. The rubber this is made out of is just slick no matter how well you wipe it. I had to take sandpaper to my inlet pipe to scuff it up good so the fitler would stop slipping off even with the clap unreasonably tightened. Ended up using large t-bolt clamp in addition to the scuffing. Would like to give it 5 stars for the quality/performance, but too much screwing around. My Napa 6637 filter never came off the pipe with just a normal hose clamp.

Bought this filter after I put a KC stage one on my 7.3 powerstroke because its what they reccomend. I was running a Donaldson blue 6637. This filter definitely flows more is way less restrictive, builds boost faster, and lowered my EGT'S. Great buy would definitely do it again. Its also cleanable which is nice and will last quite a long time.

This air filter is not a universal fit. We plugged in the correct vehicle, said it would fit, ordered it. It got here and I tried multiple times to get it in there, would not fit. Asked for a return, I had to pay $15 to return it on my dime, then they wanted to take a restocking fee from my refund! After multiple emails I got some of the fee back, but did not end up getting a full refund, all they kept saying is "It's a universal fit". So frustrated, would not want to do business with them again.

Don't review alot, but figured I'd help someone save some money. I have been through several air cleaner setups on my late 99 7.3 , and this one is the winner. Originally had a spectre brand air box setup style cold air with this style filter, was a huge improvement over stock, but would still bottom out the air filter restriction gauge on medium to full throttle pulls. Switched to a 6637 setup , with the donaldson blue 6637. Was alot louder than previous setup, but actually seemed slower. And for the first time I actually noticed soot from my exhaust on my back bumper, too rich. Immediately ordered and tried this filter, and even under hard full throttle runs the most I've seen the restriction gauge hit is slightly over 50%, and that's with a pre filter sleeve on it. Was a huge improvement in acceleration from dead stops and a bump in fuel mileage compared to the donaldson 6637. If you plan on going open element/6637 style, this is the best flowing. However, as with all these style elements, pay attention to wear. They are washable, but don't last forever. If you notice tiny pin holes , its worn out, get a new one. Don't dust your motor because you're cheap. Or too lazy to wash it once in a while.
