It does a decent job but the water would get noticeably harder over the 14 days between regens. I tested the water with a kit over several months and the hardness would consistently go up from 1 to about 10 after hitting 450 gal. All the settings were checked by a plumber. I ended up having to shorten the regen cycle to 10 days which isn’t a huge deal but it’s a waste of water and salt and reflects poorly on the product.

Very pleased with softening ability of this product but after only 2 months it started leaking. Very disappointed. Hopefully the company will work with me to find a solution, if they do I'd happily change my review to a 4 1/2 stars.

Purchased this and installed it myself. Watched a few videos on YouTube and used the instructions from the seller without issue. Only thing to note, pay attention to the inlet/outlet direction! I had them hooked up backwards and noticed before opening the bypass valves.

We had 2 basic cheap Rheem in stock Home Depot water Softeners in the past, and the were just never programmed right - water would be hard for long periods and super super soft for short periods, rarely just right. This Fleck - it is awesome. Just constant soft water, all the time. So nice!!!!!
