We're not sure if this is full 50% shade, but we put it up over our squash plants and they immediately stopped drooping. The shade cloth has a nice finished taped edges with grommets and seems durable enough. We re-used a car canopy frame over the squash trellis and pulled the shade cloth over that and secured the corners with snap hoops and half-eye rings attached to the fence and house. Alternatively, we could have used the ball-bungees that came with it, but the frame is 20' and the cloth is just 16' so we used paracord at the ends. The squash is happy so we're happy.

Got this for my chicken run and Koop as temperatures were going to be in the feels like 102-108. It has made a BIG difference in helping my chickens survive and moderating temperatures in the run and for the Koop by end of day and allowing water with ice bottles to work to keep them hydrated. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

Strength and size (40%) works perfectly for our ez-up (10 by 10) as a cover for our plants in our Arizona heat. Tomatoes, peppers, pineapple, etc surviving well and producing well. Definitely better than 70% we’ve used in the past. With bungee cords and staking ez-up legs, this has stayed up and protected plants even on windy days.

Great shade cloth for the money. Easy to install. Durable. Does a great job in providing shade on a hot deck.

Using this to make a shady spot to do my woodworking outdoors. Sunk 4 posts in concrete and pulled this shade fabric tight over the 10x12 area. Only issue I ran into is this does have some stretch, so I had to much sag in the middle. I ended up adding EMT conduit between my posts on 2 sides and using the little included bungie cords to tighten up the fabric and take the sag out. If I had known about the stretch, I would have set my poles a little further apart to account for it.

Some of my plants died from the harsh winter, which left my shade plants baking in the full sun. I needed an emergency fix. The shade cloth is surprisingly well made. There was some off-gassing when I first opening it up. The grommets are heavy duty and well-seated. I hung the shade cloth on three 8-ft plant stakes secured with thin, polyester rope and some tent stakes (stakes not show). And, this set-up is working like a charm. The shade cloth results in just enough shade. I am more than happy with my purchase and would buy this again.

I purchased this to affix to the top of a pergola in north Texas, where the sun is so hot I couldn't enjoy the patio. I LOVE it The fabric is very durable and easy to install. It allows filtered sun and rain and provides relief from the intense heat. So happy with the purchase. I have had it 7 months now and last weekend, it survived strong winds in a tornado watch. 12 grommets were shredded in strong winds, but the tarp itself was undamaged. I just bought more grommets and reattached the shade cloth.

This was perfect for sun shade without blocking the light. Very easy to put together and so lite weight that in the wind has a gentle ripple.
