I finally received these after waiting an extra day, charged them up and got ready to use them. As soon as you get into the setup it indicates that I need to pay a subscription. Nowhere in the Amazon product description does it say anything about paying for services. I even took the time to ask before purchase and was told no payment needed. So I'm returning them. I gave 2 stars only for the appearance.

I bought these for Christmas for my friends husband, who is from El Salvador and struggles with his language learning. He is taking his citizenship test this month and his wife is going to use them to help him study his citizenship test questions. I recently went to France for the Olympics and I really regret not having these while I was there because I think I would’ve, got more out of my trip if I had had an opportunity to understand more French. I really like the app because it does real time translation in any language and you can read and listen to the translation which is super fun. I am so glad that these things exist .

I love the fact they are comfortable. But mine came with no instructions. I have yet to see them translate. They don't have a volume button so you will have to keep phone near to control the volume. Takes some getting use to in order to operate.

These things did not work! If you want/need to translate air, they are perfect. But spoken words, nothing. I only gave 1 star because you are prompted to give at least 1 to leave a review.

Very impressive! At first I did not think that they were going to be very good because initially I could not get them to work and it was frustrating to say the least. Most of the time I find that if I just walk away and come back another day things generally work out fine.I decided to try out these earbuds again and to my disbelief they actually paired and were recognized by my phone, the whole process was seamless and they really really translate languages very well.There is an app that you will use with this. There are three different modes that you can use while speaking with someone and they are; each person wears an earbud and speaks, one person wears an earbud and the other one will speak into your phone speaker and the other option I believe is without any Wi-Fi connection but that is a paid service.144 languages translation although I have only tried the English and Spanish so far I found no issues with this item . You get real time speech recognition / translation for a conversation. This would definitely be a game changer for anybody traveling to foreign lands.It is well worth the price and I recommend them.

The manufacturer claimed this product is a real time translator which is not.It breaks up all the time. Hard to configure and it does not allow you to make a long phrase. Must short and very clear.The translation from English to Brazilian Portuguese is very poor.

Was inexpensive to try and fun to use. I will probably buy a more expensive model once I familiarize this version. Also easy to use.
