First put some oil in the pump input to lubricant the impeller , very important.Warm oil pumps much faster than cold oil.Mine came with no English instructions but all is basic and you don't need to be an engineer to figure it out.Works extremely well and reasonably quiet.Great for lawn mower and generators too.

I only give it one star because there is nothing lower to give it, but this pump has only worked twice and it already blew up, smoked, the engine overheated and the pump got stuck doing what the manufacturer says, that it pumps oil, an oil transfer pump, nothing more than that...just don't waste your money on this oil transfer pump that may be for cooking oil and not for cars as its specifications say.

I purchased this pump specifically for changing the oil in my Generac Whole House Generator. Hooking this pump to the drain hose of the generator will definitely get all the old oil out, and that’s what I’m looking for. I haven’t used it yet on the generator however I did try it out by pumping oil out of a quart bottle of oil and letting it pump into a jar just to see how well it performed. I have to say I was impressed with how well it worked. It will be just the thing I need to get all the old oil out of my generator when I do it’s maintenance which includes an oil change. Bottom line is it pumps very well. It’s going to make my oil change on my generator a very easy & quick task. Have to say I recommend it.

The pump housing is not lubed, put about a tablespoon of oil in the suction inlet before turning it on for the first time, pump works good for the price

I use this pump for the first time just recently. I was draining old hydraulic fluid out of the tank of my wood splitter. About halfway through the process this pump just stopped running. I tried several attempts to get it going again and it never made a Sound. Hence… you get what you pay for….cheap piece of guapo!!
