These are really nicely made crab snares. I like to crab in Westport Washington and down off the jetty in Ilwaco Washington and sometimes off the beach in Cape Disappointment. Crab snares are a load of fun even when you're throwing back lady crabs and little ones, but they suck when the loops don't work right. These snares have really nicely made loops that move really smoothly, and the three pack comes with enough that you can replace them when they break or when they start to get ratty (they stop cinching after spending a lot of time in the water). I've lost snares and have had to buy whatever the local stores carry, and none of them are as nice as these are. Whomever designed these knew what to do to make a good crab snare.

My wife and I love to go crabbing and fishing. We normally bring the regular crab pots and my wife works on catching crabs while I fish. She first noticed these on a video we were watching and decided to give them a try. We haven't had time to use them yet but the design of them makes it a no brainer that they will work. The loops stay vertical due to the design and crimping so that tells me from my inquiries into them that is what you want. If the loops are flat on the ground you tend to miss more crabs. This set comes with 3 crab snares and 3 packages of 3 squid baits. She and I are anticipating our next fishing trip to try these guys out. Many times when you go crabbing the locations have too many people there and by using these snares you can reach out to areas that others can't and hopefully have better success.

These crab snares do catch crabs. I took it out on pier and caught 3 keepers.Comes with dry squid bait, but you can use bait like small chicken leg or bait squid, too.All you do is tied to the cast fishing line, and cast out.Simple to use and works.Highly recommend.

These crab snares are very well built and the weights are installed prior to them being dip coated so I don't suspect the weights will come loose prior to losing the traps in the rocks off the jetty, hopefully I don't lose them too quickly though cuz the price is a bit high.Yes, you can buy individual snare traps for cheap in many different stores that carry crabbing supplies BUT they aren't going to be weighted, they typically aren't coated, and the snare materials themselves aren't typcally coated either. For the price charged for a 3 pack they also included 3 packs of their crab bait which is pretty cool. I haven't gotten to try the bait out yet but I'm actually impressed by the build of these snare traps. They are ready to be used and all you have to do is tie your heavy line (30lbs+ mono or 60lbs braid for abrasion protection) to the included snap and cast them out.
