I hope you’re not getting these as a bullet proof set but if you’re playing airsoft they are perfect

I work in the tactical product market-space and we use a plate carrier to show our systems which attach to the PALs webbing on the plate carrier. The plate carrier can be softer and flimsy and bends in odd ways when you put it on a mannequin. That's where these foam inserts come in. they do a great job of taking up space and filling out the SAPI compartment. Some people us real plates to serve just this purpose, but plates are heavy and I'm fighting a battle to keep my bags under 50lbs for the airlines. This is a smarter solution. I've had mine for 4 years and I travel with them a couple of times a month. I put my equipment in a soft roller duffle and they haven't been destroyed. If you're going to paintball or airsoft or something, they would provide a solid level of protection.

The foam fits perfectly in my plate carrier (used with Crye AirLite SPC). They are slightly thinner than my stand alone plates but they allow the carrier to maintain its shape and form. They even hold up when mounting three fully loaded 5.56 mags, source WXP 3L, two PRC 152s with antenas, cables, & PTTs woven into the SPC.

I liked the thickness and warmth. I definitely did NOT like the late delivery, the misinformation about the circles the product went through its delivery. The product actually reached its closest FC 3 miles from the destination three times and was rerouted away from reaching it on timely basis. Finally arrived via USPS.The imperfections on the boards were another disappointment. They looked like rejected products after quality inspection.

These arrived and we were shocked they were so small. The finger in the pic marks the top of where the the plate sits in this adult carrier for someone 5’.7”180lbs and taller. They’re obviously covered by your plate carrier but they do have a lot of pitting and imperfections in the foam.As a place that used to custom make these we can say if your carrier is man sized these will move all over the place unless you use a way to internally affix them in place! If you use a double sided tape the movement will take a chunk out of them because during the mold process none of the bubbles were taken out and they weren’t set properly in the process.tTey’re weak in comparison to other plates.Being these are small in a man sized carrier or vest they will sag to the bottom making them cover the rib and mag area more than the torso chest area. They will fit the smaller or above the belly button child size carriers perfectly though. The plate carriers that rise above the belly bottom on a grown person.None of our team wears these small, high rise chest rigs but the children of our players have small carriers and they fit great in those, they can almost turn 360* on my milspec carrier. I’d be constantly pushing it up to chest height during games. The corner top cuts while normal for these add to the small nature and had they been this size without the corner cuts they probably would work and fit better. They’re plenty thick and sturdy though and have little flex but if you were to try and bend them they would break like white packing foam would. They’re fairly priced but for their size and application they’re more on the $11.99 -$12.99 side than the $15+tax and being a .5”-1” shorter than most makes a big difference. That extra 1”-3”in height is needed for full size carriers.Be sure to check but typically the correct plates are $17.99-$19.99 which is what ours use to cost when we had them, though placed not understanding why some are priced more because of size definitely fo price theirs higher thinking it’s because theirs are the same when they’re not!Instead of returning these we just kept them to maybe use as bench blocks or cushions for whatever in the future. you could make them work if you turned them upside down then in the mag area added a 3”-4” piece of equal thickness to the bottom stomach area.We also do see adult size people using tiny carriers all the time and if you can stand to wear these they will work and fit much better. Because they do not fit our full size applications doesn’t mean they will not work for yours. We just do not see them lasting a lifetime in your carrier as they should. They should be stiff and these are but because of all the pitting and tiny hole like pieces out of the finish we know these will not hold up to slamming and leaning against corners, they will snap or break if not being careful which is the last thing you should need to do.If you’re a feather weight or bantam weight size person then i’d say you’ll be ok.We’d recommend them for children and small adults like females.

I use these in my Condor plate carrier and they’re a life saver. The back of the plate carrier would bunch up awkwardly, but with these foam plates it retains its shape much better and fits much better as well. Compared to the price of other dummy plates these are a great value. They do have a strong-ish smell at first but it quickly fades. If your plate carrier isn’t retaining its shape well, these are your answer

I photograph women for tactical style photo shoots. One of my priorities is that they are comfortable in the gear they wear. It's nice having these for them instead of putting an actual steel or sappi plate in and not having the weight bog them down. Also, these foam plates are able to bend a little to help with the curves some of these ladies have. I rate it a 4 for value as it could be a couple bucks cheaper. Isn't even as think as a normal sappi plate to add to the aesthetic. And 3 because it won't hold it's form but like I said it does bend to help with the curves. I do recommend this product.

I bought these to throw in my 5.11 plate carrier while I wait for my CPG armor plates and Spartan Armor trauma pads to come in. These are very sturdy and add much needed support for a build while waiting for actual steel or ceramic plates to come in. I would recommend them for that. 4 stars because sizing was still a bit off from what description said. If you have any questions fell free to contact me via my IG Page. VeniVidiVici470

The plates came in exactly like the photo the plates fit perfectly into my vest and it is solid. For those of you who have never got a chest plate before make sure you check the measurements of your vest and plate to make sure you have to correct size. Over all I'm happy with time product good quality. This vest is (not bulletproof) it's just solid material in shape of a bulletproof plate so it's a dummy. Very good product I recommend you get it don't forget like I said make sure you know the measurements because you want the plate to fit nicely into your vest.
