This light was easy to install - quite literally a snap. Unlike similar lights, which require you twist the whole fixture, this is placed in the slot and a lever snaps to one side and it clicks in place. The light came on, and is easily adjustable in color from hot white to a cooler incandescent color. I don't understand why there are numbers on a dial where the light connects to the track. The best I can tell is this is the angle - 0-360 (technically 0-330 since that is how much it swings). It clicks every 10 degrees. When I swiveled it around to the end the light popped and smoked. Whatever 'stop' is there is to prevent the light from shorting out and the stop didn't stop it from shorting out. This reminds me why I should purchase UL-listed lights. This light lasted 60 seconds before it was destroyed and it no longer functions. Or the light burned out because it was receiving too frequent of power cycles. It's important to note that this light is listed as 50 Hz, which is the power frequency of Europe. In the States, we have 60 Hz. Nowhere in the product specs does this disclose it is 50 Hz. This is a fire hazard.

This light has the best adjusting mechanism I've ever seen. It even has a scale to tell you the angle. There are no screws to tighten, just adjust in three dimensions and it stays where you put it. It also has a very easy mounting mechanism. If you have ever struggled a bit with getting track lights on and off, you will love this; just put it in place and push down the locking lever.While it looks as though the extended length might make it too heavy for installing multiple lights, that should not be a concern- it is surprisingly light weight, but a quality build nonetheless. I like the three color choices- warm, normal, daylight, and they are accurate; they look like you would expect. At its brightest, it provides ample light to light up a room.

We were tired of the old can track like getting that came with the unit we rented. We tried different bulbs but nothing gave us that wow factor. We chose the 20w version as we wanted to illuminate whatever we wanted to showcase brightly. The ability to change color temperatures was a huge benefit. We could choose a warmer color to highlight reds and orange or we could choose neutral or cool depending on the art being showcased. Installation was incredibly easy as all you have to do it slot the h-track adapter in place and flip a switch to engage the prongs. The ability to rotate and the angle markers made calibration a snap. They look like cans costing hundreds of dollars more and the build was rock solid. The aluminum construction helps dissipate heat so the lamp lasts much longer than traditional led retrofit bulbs. You can buy a 4 pack for $100 so this is a great upgrade for a gallery looking to modernize their space or for a retail store.
