This converter lets you take any speaker level output and turn it into line level output. It even has a gain/volume adjust so you can match it to your system.I use them for adding a sub woofer line to older stereo systems. Just hook them up to the speaker out puts and plug in the sub on the left channel. Hook up your speakers as usual and start playing music. Then set the subwoofer volume to half, and then turn the converter volume until the low frequency volume blends with your speaker system. Now you have a sub output that increases and decreases accordingly with the volume of the main stereo like it should.I have used these on two systems now and they work great. You can use them in car stereo systems as well to add an amplifier to a system that doesn't have line outs for that purpose.These are well made and you can't beat the price.

It is a way to convert a high power output into a low power RCA outlet. You can also adjust it to get the volume out of the RCA port so it does not distort the sound you would like. It does it job. It was easy to install and to adjust. It works . I like it.
