The rubber is very pliable and fit over my heater outlet perfectly. I attached the correct size hose clamp and this piece functions perfectly and allows me to get a bigger size outlet hose.

I used this to help cobble together an air intake system for a Whynter ARC-14S (dual hose portable air conditioner) in my theater's dedicated media equipment closet. All of the equipment (20 pro audio amps, etc.) creates a lot of heat, and I didn't want to run the intake outdoors, as Whynter suggests, so I pulled air from a sealed, unfinished storage closet adjacent to my sealed media equipment closet by using a 6" ID (x 10" long) cone air intake made for trucks. The quality of this reducer is good, the price was right, and the whole system works perfectly.

I'm replacing a tractor radiator with one that wasn't precisely designed for that particular model. Consequently, the hose connections need to be customized, and I need this to adapt one of them. It's a good-quality hose that should last for years for this purpose.
