Price isn't one of my criteria for star ratings. I do consider it and occasionally offer opinion. At the time of this writing they are asking 141 bucks for 6 plastic boxes. IMHO - that is a Stupid Ridiculous amount to pay for Plastic boxes. I would imagine a fair price between 35 and 50 bucks, and would probably pay a little more for the convenience of them fitting my existing racks.Convenient, they are. They are about 8" wide, 6" deep, 24" long; they will hold a lot of stuff my 4" wide steel boxes won't accommodate. I hope they last.A corner was chipped off one of mine out of the box. The plastic looks to be about the quality of the big ugly orange store buckets, or maybe some of the cheaper rubber made style boxes. They aren't super rigid - they have a bit of flex. For me - they're quite convenient - just hoping they last. There are slots for seven spacers in each box. My six boxes that could benefit from, as many as, 42 spacers arrived with 1 spacer in the top box. 1 Spacer - hmm - guess I'll call it a template.I'm calling these 3 Stars

These are very large bins, so they will definitely come in handy. However, the plastic is not very durable. I have the red plastic 24 inch bins, and when I was separating them I accidentally dropped one, about 2 feet onto a hardwood floor. It cracked. For > $120, I would expect a much more durable plastic. Also, they only include one divider. Seriously, just one. At least include one per bin. I suppose I could 3D print more using the included one for dimensions.

I have other red storage bins that I use in my garage. These are the perfect addition to expand my existing storage system while keeping the colors the same. They are made the same material as my more expensive bins and I haven't had any issues with these so far. Awesome!

My husband ordered these to put in his truck, but he handed them right over to me because they aren't heavy-duty, which he needs for all the tools and parts knocking around. Works for me — they're going into the storage closet for so many things. But keep in mind that they next inside each other when not in use, so you can't stack them on top of each other to put stuff in each. One layer only.

I generally buy Dandux divider crates since they still match in price, quality, and material of the one's I inherited from the Bell Labs breakup after being dropped, slid around cargo vans, and generally abused by linesman for years. Those are thick, heavy, indestructible structural foam and will last a century at least... also expensive and very hard to source without access to a commercial supply chain. That trusted manufacturer doesn't sell these open front divider bins, so I needed to find a new favorite manufacturer for this style. When I do search for this style bin, Akro-Mils seems to be the most frequent result. Based on the price, I was quite excited to order these bins with the assumption that these would be industrial quality. I recall these style bins being used in hospitals and in electronics manufacturers starting in the 90s. I remember how those containers felt, how the quality was undeniable after the first touch. That's what I expected of these Akro-Mils containers at this price point (presently $140, or over $23 per container). In retrospect, my expectations were overly confident.A few things about these Akro-Mils bins:Despite the price and quality differential, one single divider is included. Not one per container, just one in total. These feel slightly more elastic than an opaque Sterilite container, and no more robust. These aren't likely to break when being dropped empty (due mainly to their flexibility), but may break when dropped loaded with a fair amount of weight. These are also very long (2') pull and tilt bins... a large amount of torque will be applied to the rear of the container if heavy items are stored towards the front of the bin. Oddly, even though the front of these bins is heavily reinforced, the rear is not. These are nesting bins, not stackable. Stackable divider bins will employ structural columns which support the weight of the stacked containers, which in turn strengthen each bin considerably. Stackable bins frequently feature structural ridges throughout the containers, those which would impede containers from nesting. You can also... you know... stack stackable bins. In contrast, these nesting bins get their strength from flexibility rather than structure, they distort quite easily (installing the single, included Akro-Mills branded divider, for example). If your needs involve filling these bins and keeping them stocked, the only real advantage of nesting bins is that Akro-Mils saves considerably on logistics, which could be enticing if those savings were passed on to you.... but then again there's that crazy price.Functionally, a front access divider bin has a fundamental limitation that scales with depth. If you plan on using dividers, only items from the front most divided area can actually be accessed from the front. If you are using these on tall or top shelves and can access the top, that's a non issue. If you are using these as intended, with a shelf spacing the same as the container height, you will need to pull these containers out to access the rear items in the containers. In some cases, this negates the utility of a container like this over a standard divider box. This seems obvious when considered but easily overlooked. These are not rated for ESD and should not be used for raw electronic components or sensitive computer parts. These bins do not support length dividers. Dividers are also crazy expensive. These are not industrial quality bins. That doesn't mean you won't see them used in industrial settings - nursing homes, or small machine shops.... you will, but those purchasers won't be paying anywhere near $23 each (more like $5). Honestly no one should pay this much for these. These will bulge when filled with even medium weight contents, will not handle much abuse, and will cost even more to organize (separately sold dividers are even more overpriced). These will do well as part of a 2' deep shelf system containing sewing supplies, medical plastics, or small lightweight individually boxed or bottled items. A lot of much more affordable containers will serve these functions just as well.

These are great storage bins, they are very sturdy and hold a lot without deflecting or bowing outwards. We use them to organize our storage shelves, and they work perfectly.

These are handy storage bins if you have a shelf unit deep enough to handle them. They're sturdy plastic and should last nice and long, and they hold heavy odd shaped items very well without deforming. No issues so far and I'd highly recommend them.

I bought 4 boxes. One or two in each box was broken. No effort was made to pack these things. I’ll return one box but it makes you wonder how durable these will be. They certainly aren’t priced cheap
