This thing is absolutely beautiful. Some reviewers have commented on the rough look of the product, which totally misses the point. It looks like a high-end, antique, hand-made product. The look and vibe are PERFECT. It's also VERY heavy and feels so luxurious. It looks amazing on my mantle, and I love snuffing out candles with it.It's $50, though. That . . . a lot. If the price doesn't bother you, you'll love it. But it's arguably $15-20 more than it should be.

This candle snuffer has some heft to it. Definitely the heaviest one I’ve held. I love how timeless it looks and how it could blend with any decor. I use it as a decor piece next to my candle on my coffee table and love how it doubles as a snuffer. Both beautiful and functional. Always a fan of Alice Lane’s pieces.

This is great, because the snuffer goes exactly over the flame as I aim it. I actually hate the other kind of snuffer, where the bell dangles from the handle - it's such a pain when the bell won't stay still and I'm trying to snuff a taper candle's flame.The only reason to have a dangling snuffer is for those low car candles, because the bell remains facing down as you life the handle up over the jar's glass edge. However, most of those kinds of candles are easy to snuff out with a lid, cap or just by blowing air at the wick - the melted wax stays within the jar.In the case of a taper candle, where you don't want to blow melted wax onto your furniture, or into the palm of your bare hand, a snuffer like this is perfect and I love this.

Let me start with the one and only positive I can find with this candle snuffer.The design is nice! It stands perfectly and it gives a modern look to an otherwise old outdated item. But that’s the only good thing I have to say about this.The quality of this product is extremely bad.The metal work is rough, and almost unfinished looking. The nickel finish has surface stains and is missing or has been scratched off altogether in some spots.For an item that’s being sold by a luxury lifestyle brand for almost $50, this is honestly embarrassing.I’m not sure if they purposely went with this unrefined finish to give it a handmade look, but I would expect more from a high school metalwork student.

This candle snuffer has some real weight to it. It is large enough for any style candle and has a long handle. The look is elegant so it isn’t an eye sore and can be used as decoration as well as being functional. It is made with quality material and seems very durable. I highly recommend it.
