I bought this for controlling a custom LED strips with dmx, for a theatre show. it's hard to find documentation but I finally figured that you have to go the menu "Cxxx" and type the desired DMX adress.so that works properly, but I'm not happy with the fact that it automatically goes into demo rainbow mode if you unplug the DMX data cable. if it happens unexpectedly during the show it would be a shame..also if you unplug the power, you have to manually select "Cxxx" mode again, because it doesn't keep the last selected mode in memory. it does keep the adresse though.so it works properly and does what it is asked for, but not suitable for a professional environment in my opinion. I guess you get what you pay for.

While I’m sure this works like it’s supposed to, the instructions are grossly lacking, even for someone familiar with DMX. The different functions are listed but there’s no actual explanation of what they do. No details of how DMX addressing is handled. No URLs for more detailed information.This company has generally done OK with these products before, but the information sheet that comes with it is one of the worst they’ve ever produced.

Almost easy to configure, instructions are in broken English but that's ok. Was able to configure the device within a minute, connected up a strand of RGB pixels and it WORKED. Even comes with a small screw driver for the terminal blocks.

la mejor manera de controlar la tira de led desde dmx.solo hay que asignar el primer canal de dmx de inicio y luego se crean 3 canales de dmx R+G+V para cada seccion de tira led.Sin duda lo volvere a comprar para ir ampliando secciones

Hiermit kann man RGBIC-Streifen mit DMX ansteuern. Jedes Pixel bekommt 3 DMX-Kanäle für RGB. Kann bis zu 170 Pixel ansteuern (max 512 DMX-Kanäle / 3).Die Kanäle können nur mit RGB angesteuert werden. Kein Gesamtdimmer, vorprogrammiert Effekte o.ä. Oder besser gesagt: Es gibt vorprogrammiert Effekte, jedoch sind die nicht per DMX aufrufbar.

This device works well, but it could use DMX master dimmer and strobe functions. The DMX functionality maps directly to each pixel color level. It would be nice to have a master dimmer control through DMX, rather than having to fade each pixel individually. It would also be nice to have a master strobe feature, similar to other DMX LED fixtures (1 DMX channel controls the strobe rate). Unfortunately, the old DMX specification update rate is not fast enough for good strobing effects, and trying to quickly flash the individual pixels of the LED strip using DMX, results in unsynchronized flashes up and down the LED strip. This is a flaw with DMX, and not this device. But adding these features could fix this. The competition also seems to be missing these features.Also, this device does have some nice RGB presets for RGB strips, but when using RGBW strips (SK6812), there are no RGBW presets.

I used to convert DMX to control the ALITOVE WS2811 lights and it worked perfectly.

So far have not been able to get to work. Instructions are abysmal. Can work as a standalone but unable to connect to DMX. Anyone can tell me how to connect o DMX please

I purchased this to be able to run some WS2811 Pixel LED tape for a console programming class I teach at the university. Once we got it figured out it has worked great, but the instructions leave a lot to be desired and you will need to have some knowledge of DMX and wiring if you want to get it work.
