Not a gun owner (like a few of the reviewers for this item!)The keyboard enthusiast community is lacking a good cheap option for keyboard cases, especially for those in the 60-65% range. Someone on reddit suggested a hand gun sock, so I thought that I'd give it a try.The sock fits snug on my Kemove Shadow without pressing down on any of the keys. While one end seems slightly frayed, the sock otherwise seems to be pretty good quality.I plan on using this to put my keyboard in my backpack and to prevent dust from entering into the keyboard while I travel. A worthwhile buy for those with 60% keyboards!

The Allen handgun sock is a little thinner and lightweight than most rifle socks. This seems fine for the purpose. Surprisingly, it says "Made in USA".In the past, I have taken rifle socks, cut them down and re-sewn the ends - I was hoping the Allen sock would put an end to this inconvenience. Unfortunately, I will probably have to continue this practice.I gave the Allen Knit Sock just four stars because:1) It does not expand to a large diameter like a rifle sock. If you have a large framed pistol (revolver) with a scope on it or large red dot, this sock will barely fit and stretch itself out. Any sharp spots where the sock is stretched will tear of course.2) The drawstring is incredibly thin (like vermicelli thin) and hard to tie and manipulate because of this. I would've preferred shoe lace size. You can of course replace it yourself at more expense.3) The material itself is not very thick compared to some of even the cheapest China made gun socks available out there. I like a thicker sock to absorb any accidental impact against other metallic objects. For a small or medium sized pistol with iron sights, the Allen sock will suffice. Most users are probably just using it for safe queens. In my particular case, I wanted it for storing rifle take down components to fit in a backpack that would be subjected to a little bit of abuse - and in the winter.

Bought this pistol sack because of the price. It probably fits most pistols but it could stand to be maybe an inch wider. Length is fine but the width is a bit narrow. Bottom line - it gets the job done.

I began shooting in April of 2018. After I bought my first firearm, it wasn't long before I wanted a second firearm. Frankly I wanted quite a few firearms but I'm still working on solving the "you're broke" problem. Progress is being made on that, and this product is helping me along by protecting one of my investments. This gun sock protects my Ruger GP-100 with a 6 inch barrel. I'm a big fan of the blued finish on the gun and this keeps it from getting scratched up inside the safe. It even has a text box for you to write which gun it's over (I can't wait until I have so many that this is a solution that wonderful problem). Well worth the money and I will buy more as I broaden my collection.

Good stretchy socks to fit most handguns. Works well so far. Draw strings get snag on hammer or other parts. Just take them out.

I definitely don't have a gun but this is the perfect sized sock for my HHKB keyboard. I slip my keyboard in the sock everyday to bring to work, which protects it from all of the crumbs and who knows what else lying around in my laptop bag. While I am always careful when carrying my keyboard around, there have been times where I've carelessly "dropped" the keyboard onto my desk (mind you, not a big drop) and the material of the sock is thick enough to absorb some of the impact. Does its job and the price is reasonable.

I usually prefer BoreStores for handgun storage but thought I'd give the Allen knit gun sock a try. I'm glad I did!Pros:* Thick and Soft - The material is thick enough to protect the handgun from accidental nicks and scrapes from taking it in and out of the gun safe, and keeping it from coming into contact with its neighbors. As a protective device against accidental bumps and scrapes, it is excellent.* Generous Size - It doesn't look that big to begin with, but the material is knit and thus very stretchy. Plenty big enough for full-size semi-automatic duty guns, and can accommodate a Ruger GP100 with a bulky cylinder lock with ease.* Opaque - I never like advertising my firearms, no matter who's around, and this is a nice way of shielding the handgun from prying eyes as it makes its way from the gun safe to the range bag. The sock has enough material and give that it doesn't perfectly outline the firearm, so casual observers wouldn't automatically know what's inside.* Closing Mechanism - ...is in the form of a low-tech drawstring. I like that because it is completely reliable, repairable, and doesn't make a loud ripping sound when you open it, unlike hook and loop enclosures. I've never liked the loud 'RRRrrrrrrripp!' that simultaneously announces both my presence and the act of opening my handgun storage thingy. Call me paranoid.* Price - Hard to beat the value proposition here: Effective, high quality product for the price of a burger, fries, and a drink. Not bad at all.Cons:* None to dateOther Thoughts:I take my firearm safety very seriously, especially as there are children about. This gun sock is protective of the finish, but in no way is it a safety device. It won't keep little hands away, and it won't keep the trigger from being pulled by mistake or mishandling. Once in the sock, the handgun still needs to be put somewhere truly safe.I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product as needed for other firearms, and it's good enough for everything from duty weapons to your finest collectibles. Recommended!

This "Knit Gun Sock" is an all around high quality product. These are useful for storing and protecting handguns inside of a safe or other secure enclosure. Here are my observations:Pros -+ Made of very thick material+ Large enough for full sized handguns (see my picture in "Customer Images")+ Drawstring prevents handgun from accidentally slipping out of the sockCons -- Not for securing guns from theft or misuse! These are exactly what I wanted and will likely pick up more in the future.Highly Recommended!CFH
