This is equivalent to the original size & thickness. I thought I was saving money on ebay buying a molding that looked like this for $50 but it was cheap & too thin. Spend the $100 this costs and get a decent product. You get what you pay for.

Very similar to OEM molding but not exact. But looked OK because we changed moldings on the entire truck. The mismatch would have been obvious if we had not have changed all of the moldings. Also, the adhesive didn't hold in some places (truck surface was thoroughly cleaned before installation). They had to be re-attached a few days later.

They are not lying it is an exact matc. It looks wonderful, looks like bright shiny chrome, has all of the intricacies of the OEM chrome strip and is a big roll of it. It is the perfect width and the exact look of the original. Which coincidentally looks great on other vehicles for the exact same thing. It would be kindo of crazy but you could definitely put and old GMC stripe on an old Nissan with this strip if you wanted. I don't know why you would want to do that but you could. But of course best use of this roll is actual restoration projects. This would be perfect for that. Also cool would be matching trailer body styles to the old GMC truck body and this chrome strip would be the perfect touch for that. Speaking of you get a lot of it too. Certainly is enough for a long body GMC retoration with a full size truck bed. As long as the surface is prepped the stick will stay stuck and stay on there as good as the original. Totally worth it.

I like how it was easy to cut and apply to truck. The 3M tape seems to stick very well.

This stuff is better than OEM or New old stock I am so impressed with the quality of it I would buy again and recommend to anybody. You're doing this yourself and you're wondering what's the best way to cut it get yourself a meat cleaver sharpen it and a rubber mallet Mark out where your cuts are going to be and take the mallet and smack the meat cleaver through it do not try to cut it with a retractable box cutter you will hurt yourself.
