Item: Lizihengpi Bicycle Seat Clamp Quick Release Seat Clamp 28.6mmThis bicycle seat clamp worked perfectly for my child bicycle. It measured true to specifications and tightened up as it should. There are some imperfections in the powder coating but it doesn't inhibit the performance of the clamp. Overall it worked perfect for what we needed and was designed to do.

I ride bikes; tri-bike, roadie, MTB, fat bike. That fat bike is ~37-lbs. Sure it is aluminum frame, but realistically I can put that thing on a diet and get it down to ~30-lbs. That doesn't sound like much?Anyway my fat bike has a dropper post; realistically I don't use this function frequently as the bike goes mainly to the beach and sand and not terrain where I would use a dropper post. So losing the dropper post function in order to save weight is a no-brainer. And if I want the function, I will need a quick-release seat clamp that I can reach down and flip and push the seat down manually. No back up, but again I don't use the dropper post function much anyway.Start by looking at the price point; I am not expecting aerospace level precision in the machining. Yes, they didn't polish the cut marks prior to anodizing; I can live with that. Clamp tight enough to hold my seat post, release and push down without looking; that is my expectation, and it meets this expectation. Want nicer, pay more... Want adequate functionality without spending more, pay less...

This seat post clamp is an adequate replacement for my old clamp, which was secured with a bolt. The quick-release feature makes it much easier to adjust the seat height or remove the seat without needing a tool. The clamp is of standard quality, but the bolt and lever seem to be made a bit better.I’ll see how well it holds up, especially since I ride in rain and bad weather. If the clamp had a slightly better finish, I would have given it an additional star, but overall, the quality is acceptable.
