I keep my car pretty meticulous, but unless I want to go to the Rim Doctor and drop a few hundred dollars, im stuck with one seriously curb rashed rim and some unsightly dings in a different wheel. Thinking about it makes me feel sick and looking at them actually makes me physically ill. I picked this kit up with my fingers crossed that this work isn't above my pay grade and will actually make a difference.The box arrived and I don't know why I'm so suprised, but it's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It's slightly larger than a deck of cards. The branded box was completely sealed in plastic upon arrival. Inside, there's quite a bit of stuff. Two (small) tubes of compound, a brush, sandpaper, a blade and a metal file (which is a nail file, but hey...if it works!) are bagged up and in good shape. Thankfully the instructions are easy to follow and detailed because this is going to be a process.I decided to start with a small section on the rim that's in bad shape. Prep work (like cleaning and sanding) isn't a step you want to fly through- take your time! You have a bit of time after you mix the compounds to work them in as well as you possibly can, making sure you don't get the compound mix in places where it's not needed. Yes, you can sand if off later, but that's just going to damage another spot on the rim. You want to pay attention and really work as clean as possible here to save yourself work later on. Make sure everything is tidy, smooth, clean, etc. This stuff does bond really well to the rim and you don't need any special lights or hours and hours of curing time. I waited 2 hours and the patch was well hardened. The compounds can fill in small scratches, no problem and work well on very surface road rash, but if you have any deeper blemishes, then I would suggest applying this in layers, cleaning each one up as you add, rather than just trying to glob a mess of the compound into the gouge all at once.When clean up time comes, get a good light, get comfortable and take your time. Sure, you can breeze through the sanding and details in 5-6 minutes, but if you really want your rim to look GOOD, then be patient. Look at the fill with the light at different angles and if there are still fine grit marks from the paper, wet it down and go in with a soft hand. I got really extra with it and busted out the drimmel and got the buffer wheel going and everything.I want to mention something important-When you mix the compounds together, they do make a dull gray, flat color. It's not metallic and you can tell it's not the same color/finish as your rim, but it looks better than the black speckled curb rash that was there. To get a spot on match, you will need to buy paint seperate if you want a metallic looking 'match'.I am impressed that this works, it is easy to use and it does make a difference, BUT...When I picked this up, the small box was close to $30 I believe, which is crazy considering there is no paint included! Currently, this is now $15 and I feel like that's a more reasonable and realistic price considering you still need to go spend more money to get a finished product.I thought this process would be difficult to do and would come out looking like a kindergarten art project but it was actually easy and came out looking impressive so far (no paint yet). I can't stress the time and patience thing enough though.

I was looking for a filler kit to be able to get rid of some rash on the wheels of my new car, and this allow filler kit fit the bill perfectly. It's very easy to learn how to use and it can be used to fill many scratches. Keep in mind you may want to get paint so that you can fully restore the original look of your wheels. Great product that comes in super handy for those types of repairs.

Product not for minor scratches. Small amount if big problem and a further$20 spray has to be purchased to complete repair. No more reviews on every purchase I make please
