I spent a lot of time internetting a replacement for my Epi. Stock pickguard is fine, I just wanted a multi-ply replacement without the logo for a cleaner look. This one, being a "short-style" looked super to me and I bought it. It almost fits. The pickup cutouts are radiused, but still allow a clean fit. The problem I have is that the original location of the side-mounted bracket will not reach the mounting hole on the pickguard. I also had to drill the hole through the pickguard, it was not drilled through from factory. Not a big deal, but expect a little fiddling. In summary, to make this work I would need to mount the chrome pickguard bracket about 1/4 " away from the existing hole on the side of the guitar. I am not against doing this, it would have to be pointed out to be noticed. Ultimately, I find I prefer the symmetry of this guitar without a pickguard, so there it is! I have purchased items from this seller before, they easily took a return for a product that didn't fit correctly. The pickguard I received is fine, well made, bo burrs or bad edges. Just not a straight re-fit for my 335.

I was reluctant to purchase because I had read it requires some modding to get it to fit non Gibson 335s but took a chance and glad I did. No more screw in the middle of the guard and the short guard looks much better to me and shows off the lovely cherry red and doesn’t make the toggle switch look crowded.

It didn’t fit but that’s not the fault of the seller. I wasn’t sure if my Chinese made ES-335 copy was spec’d out as a Gibson or as an Epiphone. For the price I figured I’d take a chance. I made this work with some modification filing on the pick guard to fit my guitar which probably is more like the Epiphone specs. Quality seems good.

The price was fair but the product is rough. There are waves or irregularities on the the edges that I will have to work on to make presentable and the forward or captured pickup ring opening is to small for the the ring. So again I will have to spend time making this product work. I thought I was buying a finished product.
