Function:Octave compensation.The vibration of a fixed strings, it is f, then 0.5 times the length of string vibration frequency is 2 f, 2 times the length of string vibration frequency is 0.5 f. Pitch is multiplied the relationship. 0.5 chord length is 8 degrees, high low double chord length is 8 degrees. There is a sound pitch. When vibration strings are half at the same time, a third, four points first place also send partials.

The machining of these saddles is well executed and finished nicely. Here is the BIG caveat--there is relatively small height adjustment available and the reason is twofold: 1. The barrel diameter of these saddles is less than most Telecaster saddles. 2. The adjustment hex screws are not particularly long.Before ordering check the distance between the bridge plate and the very top of the saddle (where the string breaks over it). It is easy to check this using the high E string saddle. If the distance is anywhere near 11 millimeters, these saddles will not be stable and the G-D saddle (the highest) will not be able to reach the required height. 11 millimeters is the absolute highest I would go with these saddles otherwise you will be engaging very little of the thread and thus, it will be unstable. You could, theoretically, negatively shim the neck but I consider this to not even be an option as most luthiers would most likely agree. So, I would say, if your existing high E saddle is sitting at or below 5 or 6 millimeters, these saddles will be fine--above this, NO. I was going to try these on a Fender Brad Paisley Roadworn and it was obvious without even trying to mount them that they would not come remotely close to working.

Puh... eigentlich hab ich bei "dem Bisschen" an Längenunterschied nicht daran geglaubt, dass sich mein recht günstiges Instrument zum Positiven verändern könnte. Trotzdem habe ich mich mal auf die Suche begeben um ein wenig zu optimieren und habe mich für dieses Produkt entschieden.Was soll ich sagen: es MACHT einen Unterschied und der ist nicht zu vernachlässigen. Alchemie sieht anders aus.Wer also noch etwas im Telecaster Stil mit den Standard Brückenreitern besitzt und nicht so ganz zufrieden ist, sollte vielleicht in dieses Angebot einmal hineinsehen. Mir hat es geholfen, mein Instrument endlich ein wenig zu mögen.Und was mit wichtig war: es veränderte das Instrument nicht unwiederbringlich oder optisch so weit, das man es hätte sofort sehen können.

I bought these saddles to put on my Squier classic vibe esquire, and I’m really pleased that they fit. These are compensated saddles helping the guitar’s intonation (being in tune across the whole range of the guitar) and they’ve really improved the tuning of the guitar, with the original saddles certain chords and chord clusters sounded questionable and some just sounded like the guitar was out of tune, but now that’s been vastly improved! Just a quick note on the back of the saddles is a number, two are marked with a ‘2’ and the are for the low e and a string and the b and high e string, the saddle marked with a ‘1’ on the back is for the d and g string as the “step” goes the other way. Overall I’m very happy with them! 👍🏻

I got these because I wanted Steel saddles for the wound strings on a Baritone I built. Not quite as thick as the Brass saddles that came with the Wilkinson bridge, but sound just fine. I guess they are Ti-coated? That shouldn't make any difference in tone, but it won't wear off anytime soon. Good product.
