A highly popular plant among plant lovers, the borneo giant is also known by its scientific name, alocasia macrorrhiza, and common name, giant taro. It is known for its unique, "elephant ear" leaves that can grow to be 3 to 4 feet long and 2 to 3 feet wide! This plant is a perfect tropical statement piece for any room or garden!
Your Guide to Borneo Giant Plant Care
Light: Provide your alocasia borneo giant with bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn its leaves. Ideally, provide 6 hours of bright light.
Water: Water once the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. These plants need consistent watering and prefer to be kept moist, however not overly wet or dry.
Temperature: 60 to 85F is their ideal temperature range. They like warm, humid conditions.
Humidity: Preferred humidity levels are around 60%. If there is too little humidity your plant's leaves may become brown and crispy.
Feeding: Fertilize every 4 to 6 weeks during spring and summer. Reduce over winter.

This plant arrived very securely packaged (I was impressed) and in perfect condition. It came faster than expected & it's absolutely gorgeous. It also came with some goodies: a small packet of plant food as well as a coupon for a future purchase...I will buy from this company again for sure!
