Your cart is empty. This kukui nut lei is made of glossy-black kukui nuts knotted and tied together with an adjustable black ribbon. Buy them individually or in a 3pack or 6pack for a discounted rate. The Kukui nuts are approximately 1in. in diameter and the total length on the lei without the ribbon is about 31in - 33.5in long. The adjustable ribbon provides versatility ensuring the perfect length. These leis are shipped directly from Hawaii by Aloha Outlet.

HISTORY OF THE KUKUI NUT LEI
Historically, kukui nut leis were only worn by royalty; usually by the ali'i (reigning chiefs of an entire island). Today, the kukui nut leis are worn in hula performance or given as a congratulatory gift. These are perfect for graduations, weddings, and parties. The kukui nut tree is Hawaii's state tree.

My family is Hawaiian & I have bought Kukui lei's before. I bought these Kukui Lei's for groomsmen.Nice length & quality. They did not have an odor.

Great product and pretty fast shipping considering they are located in Hawaii. There was a note included in our package saying the product might have a smell due to being in the warehouse, and to air them out. But 6 days being hung and aired out, they still stink... They smell like horse manure. How are we supposed to hang these around people's necks???We've bought from them before with no problem. This time... huge problem. Will find a new vendor going forward.

I ordered these back in May in preparation for graduation season. I make money leis using the kukui nut leis. When I received them, I opened the outer packaging and the nuts were wrapped in bubble wrap. I removed the leis from the wrap and everything looked perfect. At the time, I noticed a smell, but didn't think too much of it. I figured it was just from the packaging. I secured everything back in the bubble wrap and put it to the side for use later. I opened everything up again a couple of days ago to assemble the leis, and the smell is still there and it is unboreable! I wiped the nuts down with lysol wipes and it seemed to help, but the smell is still very strong in the ribbon. Because I am out of time and cannot order anymore, I am going to still use these to fulfill my orders, but I'll have to take them apart to replace the ribbon. I just can't get the smell out of it. Other than the bad smell, the product is PERFECT and in great condition.I really do want to give a five star rating, but the smell is just not going to allow that.
