Your cart is empty. This kukui nut lei is made of glossy-kukui nuts knotted and tied together with an adjustable ribbon in the color of the Kukui nut finish. The Kukui nuts are approximately 1in. in diameter and the total length on the lei without the ribbon is about 31in - 33.5in long. The adjustable ribbon provides versatility ensuring the perfect length. These leis are shipped directly from Hawaii by Aloha Outlet.

Our Kukui nut leis are made from real kukui nuts that are hand-painted to give a glossy finish. While our leis are no longer made in Hawaii we do work with a manufacturer in the Philippines to produce the highest quality product at the longest possible prices without compromising on quality. Because of the use of natural materials, no 2 leis are the same, providing a 1 of a kind product that can last for years as a reminder of that special event.
HISTORY OF THE KUKUI NUT LEI
Historically, kukui nut leis were only worn by royalty; usually by the ali'i (reigning chiefs of an entire island). Today, the kukui nut leis are worn in hula performance or given as a congratulatory gift. These are perfect for graduations, weddings, and parties. The kukui nut tree is Hawaii's state tree.

My husband and I got a set when we were down in Hawaii and had them in our old car. The old pair was lost and my husband has since passed. I bought these to put in my new car. It is a great reminder of him and our time together. Very beautiful.

Extremely disappointed. Ribbon is stained and has visible damage. The same color stain is on a few of the kuikui nut shells and have no gloss on them like the others. This damage should have been visible when shipped and looks like a very used and poorly treated lei was shipped.I purchased for my son’s confirmation and chose white. Ive asked for a replacement it fear it won’t arrive in time now. I saw on my return label instructions that customers are responsible for shipping costs. I trust this will NOT be the case here as I wouldn’t be returning had this not been sent damaged/stained/used to begin with.My family is from the islands. So I always buy local if I can. But am extremely disappointed at my experience so far. Will post updated review once I receive the replacement.

These were ordered because my son and I are huge WWE fans. He loves Roman Reigns and wanted an ula fala, this is very close and was a great product comparatively. I also love that this is an actual product from Hawaii!
