After completion of the water cycle, the last step is usually to fill the system. Every now and then it happens that something liquid leaks somewhere. Often it is because a hard tube or hose is not sitting correctly or a connection has not been completely turned in. With the Alphacool Leak Testing Tool, you can test the tightness of your water circuit before filling the system.
Construction
The Leak Testing Tool consists of a hand pump, a pressure indicator, an 11/8mm hose at the end of which a connection with G1"4" thread is attached. The whole thing is connected via a TEE piece. The hose is 40 cm long and has a buckling protection spring.
Application
Connect the Alphacool Leak Testing Tool to a free G1/4" connector in the system and operate the hand pump until the desired pressure is reached. Please note here that there may be different maximum specifications depending on the manufacturer. Now you should wait about 15 to 20 minutes. If the pressure has not dropped after this time, the water circuit is dense.

The entire point of this tester is to test if your loop has any leaks.According to this gauge, my loop had a leak. So, i took the thing apart at least 10 times over the last few days.Finally said screw it and finished the loop and filled it up. Zero leaks.The ENTIRE point of a leak tester is to determine if it has a leak. It becomes useless when the leak tester is the cause of a "leak" during a leak test.

Die Pumpe erfüllt ihren Zweck, ist gut verarbeitet.Allerdings ist die Pumpe super klein. Bis man da den entsprechenden Druck aufgebaut hat, muss man ordentlich pumpen.Dies könnte man mit mehr Volumen verbessern.

Love everything about this leak tester but the handle pump is junk. I replaced the handle pump with a bike pump and it works great. Highly recommended if you don’t mind buying a different hand pump for it.

The main problem was a blockage associated with the main assembly that prevented the pump from pressurizing the system. I would have accepted an exchange for a functioning item except that it also doesn't have a pressure relief. While in theory this could be a durable and long lasting item, in reality the quality control is too lacking. I returned the item. A waste of my time...

Also speziell, wenn man Hardtubes nutzt, braucht man den Leaktester unbedingt. Mir ist es 100% lieber, wenn es im Trockenlauf mal "puff" macht, als eine Überschwemmung im Life-Test. Geht ganz einfach, Leaktester am Ausgleichsbehälter aufschrauben und pumpen, bis vor dem roten Bereich. Wenn es nach kurzer Zeit nicht gleich puff macht, einfach Skala checken und kucken, ob sich der Druck zb über eine Nacht hält

Hab 2 unterschiedliche Systeme getestet nach Neu/Umbau und hat die 0,5Bar ohne Probleme gehalten :)nur der Aufbau des Luftdrucks bedarf etwas Übung ^^ aber im zweiten Anlauf war dann auch der gewünschte wert auf der Druckanzeige getroffen, :D also von mir klare 10/10Kurz zum Aufbau meines WaKü Leckage Test Szenario:1. Luftdruck Test 20 min. o,5 Bar2. Loop befüllen, entlüften und Test lauf für ca. 12h mit Pumpen/Netzteil Adapter (nach ca. 3h Kontrolle. Wenn der Kreislauf etwas Temperatur bekommen hat, ziehe ich die Fittings etwas nach ^^)3. Loop ruhen lassen, Netzteil verbauen, nochmal entlüften am^^ und ggf. nachfüllen :)Kleiner Tipp ein beweglicher abgewinkelter Anschluss ist praktisch in vielen SituationenMfg Chris

Works great just doesn't have presser relief so I use the drain port ball valve to release it
