The unique lashing system secures meat for long hauls, and includes three extension lashing straps for extra capacity. The lightweight aluminum frame makes the pack light yet strong, and the Hypalon lashing points provide additional external storage. The lashing panels all feature full length zippered pockets with interior mesh pockets, perfect for additional gear. The shoulder harness is fully adjustable to a torso range of 17” – 23”. A padded waist belt as well as padded shoulder straps make this a very comfortable pack to wear. The waist belt can accommodate clip style holsters so you can securely carry a hand gun. I have multiple Alps backpacks and I love them all, they are very comfortable with lots of compartments for organizing all the gear you need to bring on a hunt or hiking trip. This backpack has lots of room for adjustments to make it fit exactly how you like it.

I liked the pack especially when you could remove the pack that holds all your hunting items and use as a meat hauler seperate from the pack. Worked great for carrying out elk and deer. Apls could update so you could also have straps so you could pack out pack holding hunting items separate from the meat hauler.

This year was my first ever elk hunt and I did a heck of a lot of research on hunting packs with the meat hauler capability. As anyone who begins this search knows there are many options. That being said, I could not find anything close to the options this pack has for the price point. Honestly, it concerned me slightly but I decided to purchase the pack anyways. Well long story short I was lucky enough to harvest my first elk as well as assist my friend haul another elk out with this pack. It performed extremely well. Def put it to the test by hauling out full quarters on the meat shelf as well as keeping the bag clipped up on the outside for the first trip out. Took a front quarter with the pack on for the first trip and a full rear quarter without the pack on the second. I have no complaints for how this pack performed. Once the pack straps were adjusted with the quarters on it stuck to me like glue, it wasn't moving around on me at all as we hiked out of some real thick bush climbing over dead fall and crossing small creeks. On top of the meat shelf the packs other accessories worked great as well. I was bow hunting as well as rifle hunting so it was nice to be able to strap my bow on the back of the pack as I walked in with the rifle. The morning I harvested my elk it was raining very hard, I actually forgot it had a fly lol once I got the fly pulled up and installed it kept everything dry. All and all I do not regret this purchase at all and 100% would recommend. Can't beat the performance and accessories included for the price point.

Great pack. Took this on a bear hunt in mountains of Montana. Held all my gear including my rifle and never failed. Buckles hold up good. Easy to adjust. Great product for the money.

I purchased this pack after a hunting buddy purchased one and i seen it in action. It is a great size for day hunts and can hold a full moose quarter with all your gear. I love how the pack can be removed for multiple trips to pack out meat from the field. There is a lot of adjustment on this pack and the shoulder straps are very comfortable.

I use this as a day or two-day hunting/hiking pack. The most versatile I have found and if you have a successful hunt you can pack out meat whiteout needing to wash down bag and bring your gear with you when packing out.

Fantastic! Very impressed with the quality. It is more comfortable than the mystery ranch pack that I had. Perfect amount of pockets in all the right places. The rain gaurd comes with it for no extra cost, with its own little storage at the bottom. I'm very impressed. I haven't hauled anything with it yet. But it feels that the weight would be evenly distributed. If this one ever wears out I will be buying another one without a doubt. Thank you ALPS for making an affordable product that was well thought out.

I absolutely love this pack! Wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone. It's not a big "pack out an elk" pack, I've used it on a black bear hunt and it was perfect. Comfortable, easy to clean, and well thought out.

The pack is awesome! It’s comfortable, strong and well worth the money. I can carry everything I need for a lengthy hike/hunt. The only flaw Ive found is that it’s a bit squeaky. It kinda sounds like lodgepole pines rubbing together but if it’s dead silent, that’s all I can hear when I breathe and walk. I can’t pinpoint if it’s coming from the straps or the foam padding. I’m totally satisfied, just a thought for the engineering department. Haha.

This was the perfect backpack for my Alaska hunting trip. It was very comfortable, and so versatile with all the compartments. When the meat hit the ground, this pack shined. The cargo side of this pack was superb. Loaded up to probably a 70# to 80# pack it was still comfortable and the weight distribution was great.The quality of construction was also very good. We put these packs thru a 10 day hunt in Alaska.

I used this pack to haul out elk quarters September 2018. It worked awesome. For the money (compared to Mystery Ranch or EXO) it is awesome. It comes with a rifle/bow carrier sling and a rain fly (both extra cost with Mystery Ranch or EXO). It a great day/2 day pack. The pack itself isn't big enough for a 3/5 day pack, but if you put your compressible items like clothes and lightweight shelter in the meat shelf area (between the pack and frame) than it would make a good 3-5 day pack. I highly recommend it. I'm going to buy a second one.
