Put your 1.25" eyepieces or other accessories one: Turn the lock-ring and your eyepiece now sits firmly anchored in place. It is gentle with the accessories and yet clamps them in place with incredible force. Use Twist-lock adapter as a high-end reduction ring.
1.25" Eyepiece with 2" Adapter-permanently Locked
Suppose you are observing with some 2" eyepieces but also have a favourite 1.25" eyepiece you want to use. Instead of constantly having to fiddle around with adapters, you could simply use this adapter together with the eyepiece and use it with a fixed 2" barrel.

Great concept from an engineering stand point. This is an ideal quick-fix for converting from 2" to 1.25" lenses. Very Impressed with the product and service.

This is an updated review...The first one I received was DOA and would not tighten to hold any eyepieces.Alstar sent me a new one after I returned the first one. This second one works as expected and holds my 1.25" eyepieces and collimator. Thanks for quickly addressing the situation and sending me one that works!

It seemed to hold the eyepieces but it's top surface stands prowder in the diagonal than my original adapter and eats up a little of my in focus keeping some euepieces from coming to focus. There is also oil working out of the twist mechanism and I worry that it could get on eyepiece snoots and from there into the snoot cover and up inside the snoot, or down onto my diagonal mirror.

First of all, Firmly and Gently HoldsMy Eyepiece and 1.25inch camera adapter located center position almost.It is durable, easy to operate, and can be used for many purposes, but there are some lubricants.I am generally satisfied.

This apretty amazing bit of kit. 3 times £1000 camera dropped put, but this twist lock, locks the whole of the nose piece, I feel secure knowing my camera now will never just drop out any longer.
