I dont think it would hold up long term outside. But I used it for 2 weeks camping to shade my car and it was helpful

I believe the fabric as a deteriorates will become another micro plastics in our environment . When I touch it, I’m covered in silver glitter after a year and a half. As it starts to deteriorate it will become softer and softer till all the plastic is away from the strengthening fibers. I do not recommend this product. It did reflect the sun when first bought, but is not worth. The shedding fibers I wish I could return it.

I purchased two of these aluminet shades and both plants are doing well in the hot, scorching AZ sun! I basically wrapped each around the plants which are about five feet tall, clipped the edges together with metal clips, and unless there is a really strong whirlwind which has happened, the nets stay in place. So glad I found these due to a demonstration on t.v. about the product. Cheers!

Have purchased many of these before from a different company. Use them over chicken pens to block sun and keep temps down a bit. Makes a big difference. The quality of these FAR EXCEEDS any I’ve bought before and I’ve bought ALOT. The tarps are heavy and substantial. Price was reasonable and delivery was fast. Worth every dollar!

This thing is huge, it was perfect, it covered our entire camp area.Worked great for keeping the sun off of us yet still allowing a breeze to come through.I will probably buy another one so we can increase the size of our camp next year.The grommets were exactly in the right place and they are nice and sturdy.

With 109F temperatures in the forecast, we had to do something to prevent us being baked alive in our own house without central air. I hung this shade cloth over the interior of the largest window in our house. It made an immediate difference in the amount of heat that came into the house through the window, but still let enough light through for us to be able to use the daylight. It also meant that I could somewhat see through the window to know if there was someone in the yard, which is a huge advantage over the alternative of blocking the windows entirely with mylar insulation or aluminum foil. Now that the heatwave is over, I've decided to keep it up over the window to reflect heat back /into/ the house, but I have since added sheer white curtains between the shade cloth and the window glass so that you can't see the shade cloth from the street. I like the privacy that it affords, and we no longer have to close the blinds entirely to protect our eyes when the morning sun is blaring right through the front window.I'm considering getting more of these for every window in the house before next summer's inevitable heat wave.
