I almost purchased one of the other similar protractors on Amazon, but then noticed the slightly larger size of this one. Still very easy to handle, but - very importantly - the scale one reads is larger diameter on this one. Practically, that means that it can easily be accurately read to 1/3 of a tic mark, or perhaps 1/4 of a tic mark (so 1/2 of a degree accuracy) if your eyes are good; and if the etched tic marks were narrower, even better than that. It is nicely machined, and all edges and corners are nicely relieved just the right amount. The anodizing is thick, and the numbers and tics are laser etched through it into the silver aluminum beneath. The articulation is smooth, and the tension is adjustable with an allen wrench. I also like the contrasting colors of the two pieces. Not that it matters much, but there are measuring scales etched on the back, inches on one piece, and metric on the other. A very nice, well thought out product!

I bought this to speed up the installation of crown and baseboards in a house with not so accurate 90 degree inside and outside corners. It works great and appears to be well made. Should last for years. After using it and looking at the workmanship I am surprised at the value. Accuracy is better than most digital low priced miter gauges. Would recommend this to anyone needing a miter gauge.

I did a lot of searching for an item like this. Miter protractor. Even knowing the term was a challenge. After looking at enough videos online, I started to get the answers I needed. It seemed as there are some "brand names", even for tools that aren't that common. I did look into them, but it's hard to justify a high cost for a tool I'm going to use very infrequently. No one had one I could borrow, and I was worried about buying something that was cheap, like plastic. I looked at this, and it did't have a lot of reviews, and what ones there were seemed to be part of a promotion or something. Still, it was aluminum, and had a tension / adjustment screw if needed. It arrived in a nice package. It is machined from aluminum, and I cannot quite tell if the finish is anodized or powder coated. Either way, it's a nice finish. The tension out of the box is perfect. It's not loose, and it's not too tight, but it will hold its measurement easily. The accuracy was dead on according to my square I think you'll be happy with this as I am.

Very easy to use to measure inside/outside corner angles. Must have for anyone wanting to create trim pieces that fit into and around corners.

I was very surprised at the heft of this. It's no lightweight, but it's not overbearing. The markings are extremely easy to read. I found it easy to use.TIP: Do not go checking the corners in your house. You already know they're not square. You don't need to see 88 degrees instead of 90. But when the time comes to redo that baseboard, you'll be able to cut at 88 instead of 90 and add filler.I only wish it had a case of some kind. The added leaflet will help greatly when I'm doing ornate crown molding on my next project.

This protractor was substantially better built than I expected it to be. The markings are very clear and easy to read and the accuracy is on par with a tool in this price range (meaning that it's not a Starrett or Mitutoyo, in price or accuracy). I am very satisfied with it, however, and it will have a permanent place in my tool chest. I would have liked to see a thumb screw lock, however, to set the angle and keep it when moved away from the work, but that's a small nitpick that I may rectify via modification in the future. Overall, a well constructed tool that I can recommend.
