I do tree work for a living, and sometimes what takes the longest of any part of the tree removal is final cleanup or raking. This poly tine pitchfork is incredible at doing a rough rake of the yard after removing a dead crispy tree (especially ash trees). Anything lodged in the tines is easily shoved out with your foot or hand. This poly pitchfork also works amazing for scooping and spreading mulch or loose lightweight debris. Will absolutely be buying another one.One plus about the rake is the color, easy to see and deer can't steal it ;)

Not a better idea just different. I read the reviews and thought this must be a good idea. At near 80 bucks I thought it had to be something special. I held it in my hands and tried to imagine using it and it went back in the box shortly after that. It's a little unwieldy. The handle is a bit thicker than what you would bring home from the hardware store. I would guess the size is necessary to give it strength. The main thing about the Poly Scoop Fork that caused me to reject it as a viable tool was how the tines curved up over 2 inches off the ground even when the handle was at waist level. I'm a backyard composter of mulch, wood chips, leaves, cut grass, straw, saw dust hay, etc. and I just wanted a tool like a pitchfork or something that I could take it from one pile and pitch it into another pile. This is called turning or rotating the compost pile. A giant shovel works Ok but a pitch fork would work better. This tool won't work because it won't dig in like a shovel. You would just come up against the side of the pile. The pics I took had the handle set at wast height ( I'm 6'0") and the times are up 2 inches of the ground. It would not work for me and I was glad to re-order a conventional 10 tine pitchfork.

Feels solid and the tip of the tines are pretty shard lol I can't wait to use it for scooping mulch and leaves as well as straw!UPDATEThis pitchfork is by far the best tool for scooping leaves into bags, bins, or the bed of your truck! Of course, I did install a nifty handle onto it so I don't have to bend as much. It's also quiet against scraping along the ashphalt or cement! Holds leaves easily, as well. Love this sucker!!

This is much sturdier than I imagined a plastic fork would be. It’s a nice light weight with beveled fork tips and rounded tines. It works well skimming raked rows of leaves off the grass. It’s pretty good in the flowerbeds too because I can shake the bark out and the maple leaves stay in the fork. So far it works very well and I am pleased.
