I have a JD D125 lawn tractor, and as we head into fall clean up season, where we will be chopping up and bagging leaves, I always do a full tune up and change all air filters and the oil filter. This oil filter fit perfectly and should perform as designed. It only has a few weekends under its belt since the fresh oil change, but for what it is worth, the oil still looks clean/brand new like straight from the container. Time will tell on performance, but so far I'm happy.

I changed the oil for my John Deer L111 garden tractor yesterday and this oil filter fit perfectly and seemed as solid as the OEM filter. The new filter is on the left in my photo. It still has a protective plastic cover over the top. One big difference between the filters is that the OEM filter has 8 circulation holes on top compared to only 6 for this generic filter. It's had to say how good the filter material inside is, so I'll keep an eye on my oil to see how soon it gets dirty. I'd feel more confident about this filter if the manufacturer showed test results comparing its filtration capabilities compared to the OEM filter.11/2/24: I upgraded this to 4-stars. It fit well and hasn't leaked. Hopefully the filter material is good.

I got this filter for my JD riding mower and being an automotive technician all my life I have used and been around a whole lot of oil filters and so on in my life and this filter that I have not used yet because it is not time just yet to change the oil in my mower has a very solid and quality feel to it.This filter feels very heavy duty and says it meets the OEM regulations or higher and it definitely looks and feels like it and when it's time to change my oil I will not have a problem using it since I received it and have inspected it, believe me I don't use low quality products on any machinery I own.

This filter comes with no markings or labels, but it fits, and doesn't leak oil, so it looks like it could be a good deal. John Deere recommends replacing oil and filter every 50 hours, doesn't seem like enough particles would accumulate to affect oil flow through the filter media with that frequent of changes. And, at a little over half the price of the OEM AM125424 filter, some savings are to be had with this filter. As an added bonus, this filter housing is thicker and stronger than the OEM version; not so easy to crush with the strap wrench trying to remove a too-tight filter (looking at you, John Deere manufacturer)
