Anticipated this product would be a good replacement for OEM but apparently not. Only after four uses the cable snapped and would no longer lock in place. Waste of money

This cable appears to be a duplicate for the John Deere cable at less than half the cost. It works well and contrary to some comments, locks in place. The “stickiness” felt by some can be alleviated by squirting some silicone lube into the cable. This would also prevent rust in the loop formed when the cable droops before being attached to the blower. Would buy again.

I replaced a broken John Deere 44” snowblower chute control cable with this one and it is an exact fit/replacement at a fraction of the JD OEM part. I didn’t have any issues like a couple people with the handle not ‘locking’ the chute. Took about 10-15 minutes to replace. I am very happy with the product.
