An exceptionally white papier mache that's easy to prepare and model. Ideal for use with WireForm® products. Pure white and dries white. It's easy to prepare, easy to model, very economical, and exceptionally white when dried at room temperature. Finished projects are very lightweight. Claycrete® is non-toxic, comes in powder form, and mixes with water to form a paste. Shake the closed bag first to thoroughly blend the ingredients before using. When in paste form, it is modeled or applied over an armature. Claycrete® starts setting up in 30 minutes, then detailed modeling can be done. Additions will stick to the form without any problem, because it will cling to any clean surface, but will not stick to the hands. One pound of Claycrete® will make 97.5 cubic inches or 18 bags will make 1 cubic foot of solid material.

This item was fairly expensive for the amount I received.

It doesn’t apply super smooth, but it’s still a nice surface. Dries quickly with a fan. My daughter is 12 and it was very easy for her to use on top of an armature. Dries very hard.

I was surprised by one of the negative reviews because they misunderstood what this item is (ie. didn't read). It's Paper Machier... not adhesive that you use with newspaper. This is the whole package. Just add water! It works great. I love it. I will be purchasing this again once I run out. I use this for a number of different crafts. Just make sure to cover your nose/mouth while mixing this up because the dust particles can be very irritating if you breathe it in. Be gentle while scooping it out of the container.

Seemed too dry for my use. Even with more water added it was just wetter, but not any more adhesive.

This material comprises half the recipe an amazing older friend uses to create porcelain perfect clay. Created as per directions, the resulting papier mache is sleek and both easy and enjoyable to fiddle with. The most amazing thing to me? The way the dry, recycled pulp is so well prepared for papier mache it resembles cotton and feels as I imagine a cloud would feel. Super lightweight, perfectly blended and dried into a base you'll come to respect - and love using.

This is to me is more like plaster. It has the paper or thickening agent to this. I wanted the white glue-like substance to use with news paper, like you would expect with something called"'paper mache". You cannot use any paper with this.

I guess you have to be really into art to form shapes with these pieces. Ok with mold form--probably not worth the money for me though. Newspaper type paper without ink would be best for me with children.

This papier mache mix is very fine, light and absorbent. It makes a clay of very even consistency. Perhaps I should have kneaded it until it was firmer or added less water and worked harder to distribute it. Its absorbency vs the volume of water used meant it took days for my piece to dry. I've used grey celluclay in the past and found it easier to avoid adding too much water. I'll use up the rest of this brand for my molds and see if I can't get a better ratio. If so I'll prob use it again & hopefully not have any more trouble.
